Those Streets Twelve Years Ago

I walked passed the old broken down tracks in sector 5 slums. The rain started to form puddles under the tracks. I had remembered the scenery three years ago. I walked further solemnly down the tracks passing through broken down train after another. Once I reached the only running train station in Midgar I sat down and waited for the train to come by. I closed my eyes and listened to the rain beat on my hat.

Flashback: "Uhgggggggg Reno!" "Mommy, don't die please." "Reno, promise me you will become successful don't grow up to be like me." "……………….. I promise."

I opened my eyes and gasped, rain flew into my mouth and I choked for a second regaining my breath. I had looked at the time, it was 4:31 a.m. Midgar was asleep.

I had remembered holding my mother's hands as she passed away. The coldness running through her, I stood there watching her not crying just mourning my loss. I had remembered what she said to me and was determined to keep my promise. Seven years later I joined The Turks and became successful….. but I didn't like who I had become. I did it anyway because of my promise Turks became notorious and I had become a valid member. I couldn't take it………………….

I saw the train arrive and a man yell, "All aboard," I got on the train and stood holding the pole near the window.

I saw the train approach the circular train track and looked out the window seeing my mother.
