How I Feel: chapter 1

Its 6am and her alarm clock starts blasting "How Does It Feel"

She gets up and knows the song is entirely true. She walks out the door to go to work. She's 16 but life has been an eternity. She walks down the slum streets of New York. She drags herself through another day of work. The walk home she walks slowly. Back to the apartment she's called home for 16 years. Painful years. Her life seems like a dream.

Her dads gone. Shot when she was 5. Only memories here with her. When she gets home just like usually her mom's not there. She goes to her small room. She sits on her bed.

Listening to the police cars racing by. She takes a minute looking at the scars on her wrists. Thinking bout trying it again decides not to. How hard its been. Things a kid shouldn't go through.

Living in an apartment that feels more like a box. A cage. Why! So many questions. Why?

She thinks about those lazy rich girls. That just sit on there asses all day. Never knowing how though this dumb world is.

She wants to run.

Her feet won't move.

She gets up grabs her bag and starts packing her old screwed up jeans and worn out t-shirts. She grabs her savings just enough for a one way plane ticket. One of her old friends lives near Hollywood. She's a good singer going to try her luck.

So many questions.

Who is she?

And how did she die?
