Sara's P.O.V
I walked to the crime scene. Noone said anything
to me, maybe they wre focused on the case. As I walked to the house
Catherine came out crying. That was strange because she never cried
at a crime scene.
"I can't take it anymore, she was too
young" said Catherine.
Maybe the victim was a little girl.
Catherine always gets freaked out when a little girl is murdered, it
makes her think about Lindsay. I walked inside and look around the
house. The things look familiar, but I don't know why. I take out my
flashlight and look around the room, nothing abnormal. Grissom walks
in the room and stands right next to me. He says nothing, but I can
tell that he wants to.
"Why would someone do this?" he
asked.
"Hate crime" I said.
He walked out of the room
like he didn't hear me. What did I do wrong? I walk around the house
for a few more minutes, then I come to the guestroom. The bed was
made. Pink curtians matched the bedspread. Definatly a girls room.
Then I see Greg come into the room. Tears are falling down his
face.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"It shouldn't
have happened, I should've made her stay with me" said Greg and
wiped his eyes.
I wipe his eyes and he shudders. It was like a
cold chill came over him. He ran out of the room and outside. I
looked out the window and saw Nick standing outside. He's not moving,
just standing there like he was in a trance.
"Ok, where's the
body?" asked someone.
David. That was the one question that
he never forgot to ask.
"It's in the bedroom" said
Grissom.
From his voice, I could tell that he was trying not to
cry. Why was everyone crying. Noone ever did. I followed Grissom and
David into the bedroom.
"Looks like she's been dead for
about 2 hours"
"C.O.D?" asked
Grissom.
"Strangulation and multiple stab wounds"
"Who
could've done this to her?" asked Grissom.
"Anyone"
said David and walked out.
"What's her name?" I
asked.
Grissom didn't answer me which was very strange.
"Grissom,
what's her name?" I asked again.
"I should've told you
this when I had the chance" said Grissom.
"Tell who
what?" I asked.
"All the times that you wanted to go
out, I should've went...I wanted to"
"Why didn't you?"
I asked.
"I was too afraid, thinking that it would ruin the
friendship"
"I wouldn't let anything ruin that" I
said.
"Now it can't happen"
"Why not?"
Grissom
put his hand down and he touched the vic's hair.
"Lemons...just
like I told you"
When he said that a chill went up my spine.
That's what he told me after a body was found. The smell was
horrible, I still smelled like it a little bit.
"What?"
I asked.
"I love you Sara" said Grissom.
When he
left, I looked down at the body. She looked right back at me.
"OMG,
that's me" I said.
