I don't own Nintendo, Zelda, or anything copyrighted in this story.

This is the first fanfic I started writing. I'm working on it and another one at this point in time. So if you're waiting for another capter of this one to be posted, you could go read my other one, Not a Moment too soon.

Just to make it clear, the italic fragments at the beginning of each chapter are not neccesarily being spoken during that chapter. (That's the way I originally planned it, but, I changed it. : ) )

A forgotten legend.

Introduction:

"...and so Link returned the Master Sword to the pedastal of time and returned the three spiritual stones to their original owners..."

"Wow, Grandpa! That was one of the best stories yet!" Exlaimed

a young boy with a smile on his face.

Josia, the boy's Grandfather, sighed. He told his grandsons

Jacob and Drake these stories not only to keep them entertained, but to

teach them of their culture. He wanted the future of his country to

remember the good times that it had been blessed with, not to look at

their rullers with spite and mallice when hardships appeared. He

doubted it did as much.

Drake, the older of the two boys, got up and started walking

towards the door, as he thought to himself, '...there's work to be done

around here. There's no time to sit around and listen to these baby

stories...Grandpa should know that...'

When Drake got outside he spat on the dry and crackly ground.

Oh how he hated it. Oh how he wished Lake Hylia would fulfill the dying

thirst that his crops asked so longingly for. But he knew that would

not be the case...

The two boys and their Grandfater lived in a small cottage in a

town called Stilfa a few miles south of Lake Hylia. They

owned a few acres of land, surrounded by trees and shrubs, about a

mile out of town.

Life had been rough living in the land of Hyrule for the

past couple of years. A dreadful heat filled the land, a dry and bitter

heat. You were lucky if you had enough food for a meal a day, let

alone three. The only ones living the high life were the royal family and

their servants. They had food from their richly cultivated gardens, which

got water from their high tech irrigation systems. It was like their queen

and her husband plainly didn't care about the well being of their

country, and were going to squander all the food for their own needs.

But the truth of the matter was, they had forgotten...

Please R&R. I want to know the readers input of the story.

I only called this the Introduction because I don't think it's long enough to be a chapter right now.
