Hannah and Matt sat in the waiting room. Hannah was at the doctor for her 16th check up. "Hannah Hardy." A nurse called.
Matt took her hand as they followed the nurse down the hallway. "A Dr. Parkerson will be right with you." The nurse said as he shut the
door. "How are my favorite parents to be?" Dr Parkerson asked as she walked into the room. "Fine." Hannah said. "How often do you
get sick?" "As of right now I haven't really sick." "That's good. Now lay back and we'll get a look at your baby." Hannah laid back as
she was told and lifted her shirt. "How is he?" Matt asked looking at the screen. "What makes you think it's a boy?" "Actually it's still
too early to tell." Dr. Parkerson said as she continued to move the ultrasound remote over her stomach. "What's wrong?" Matt asked by
the look on the doctor's face. The doctor didn't say anything. "Is the baby alright?" Hannah started to get concerned. Dr. Parkerson got
up and left the room. "Matt I'm scared. What If we lost our baby?" "Shh…sweet heart it's going to be okay." Matt took her hand. "I
can't loose this child. We've tried to long and..." "I'm sure the doctor will tell us everything is fine." "Hannah and Matt this is Dr.
Kayette." Dr. Parkerson said as she came back into the room. Both Matt and Hannah shook Dr. Kayette's hand. "I'm just going to take
a look at the ultrasound." He said. Both doctors crowded around the small monitor. "Is our baby alright?" Matt finally asked after about
a minute. "Mr. and Mrs. Hardy." Dr. Kayette started to say, turning to face the two of them. "Take a look." He said. "What exactly are
we looking at?" Hannah asked. "We'll first of all both your babies are fine and healthy." Dr. Parkerson answered "Wait… babies." Matt
said in shock. "Yes 2 babies better known as twins." "Twins." Hannah and Matt repeated at the same time. They both looked at each
other happily, but that didn't last very long. "Before you get excited there's more to it." Dr. Kayette continued "I'm very sorry, but your
babies are conjoined." "C…conjoined?" Hannah said. "Yes, we are very sorry. If you want to terminate the pregnancy." "Listen we
know this is quite a shock. We'll leave the two of you alone to think this over." Dr. Parkerson said as she and Dr. Kayette walked out of
the room. "Matt…" Hannah cried wrapping her around him. "We are not giving up on these babies." "Hannah you heard their heartbeats.
These are babies are strong." After about 10 minutes both doctors returned to the room. "Have you to come a decision?" Dr. Parkerson
asked. "Yes we have. We are keeping the babies."
