Paul's Secret Talent

Davis sighed as he press play button on his CD player again. It was the Christmas season and the festival mood wasn't faded, so to keep with the sprit, he had invited SG-1 over for few drinks while he was in Colorado Springs.

He was house-sitting for his sister, who was gone overseas to her husbands' family to celebrate Christmas. His sister came over to Washington every second Christmas, which worked out for everyone. This year he was stuck having to house-sit while working at SGC. For the last few hours, he had been busy doing the cleaning and cooking – not that he was master in the kitchen – but he could manage few things.

Hearing the clock bong an hour, Paul looked up at the time, amused he shook his head, it was almost time for Colonel's football game, Carter had warned him that Colonel would want to watch the game at all cost. The bell rang; he calmly dusted his hands and checked on the roast that was placed in the oven.

As the smell reached his nostrils, he smiled. Not bad, he mused as he when to open the door and greet his guests.

He saw Daniel standing on the front porch, looking amused. Giving the good Doctor a confused frown, Paul got a wide grin in return and saw Daniel jerk his thumb behind him. Looking past Daniel, Paul saw the Colonel come, barging up the tiny path.

"Bloody hellfire" Jack fumed as he rod past Davis, into the house.

Daniel grinned and shook his head. "What happened?" Paul asked.

"O'Neill missed out on seeing the yellow clad family on TV." Teal'c told Paul.

Uncertain as to whom or what Teal'c was referring to, Paul looked at Sam who shrugged her shoulders in return, then at Daniel, "The Simpson's." the archeologist replied as he walked into the lounge room and chuckled when he saw Jack pouting. They all had to drag Jack away from the TV, right when the show started. Thus given him; his current mood.

"Ah!" Paul nodded, and then remembered his manners, "Drinks anyone?"

"Ginger Ale, would be most welcome, MajorDavis." Teal'c bowed slightly.

"Teal'c we are outside SGC, just call me Paul." When Teal'c raised his eyebrow and said nothing, "Daniel? Sam?" Paul asked glancing at the two.

"Soft drinks are fine" Sam replied, "Let me help you with them."

"Errr…Sure" he allowed Sam to follow him. "So…." He trailed off, unsure as what he could say.

"Glasses, Paul?"

"In the top shelf, on the right side of the sink." He directed her, as he took out the drinks and ice, "What about Jack?"

"Beer" Sam said and frowned, when she saw the sketchpad on the table. The drawings on the page were so beautiful, Sam wondered if this was Paul's hidden talent. Smirking, "Got a hidden talent, Paul?"

"huh? What?" His eyes traveled to the pad that he had left on the counter. Oh shit. "uh…." He stammered to say something, he wasn't a sort person to place excuses, "Yes, they are." He smiled.

"these are great. Why weren't we told?"

"Well, that's cos it's my secret" He wiggled his eyebrows.
