Rose loves to do nothing. To just lie back, relax and let her mind wander, thinking about everything and nothing, from the wonderful and amazing things the Doctor has shown her to pondering the latest celebrity gossip back on Earth.

The Doctor is not blessed with this ability. He's never content to be still, always tinkering with something under the gratings in the console room. Fidgeting with his sonic screwdriver. Even the simple task of making a cup of tea. He'll do anything to avoid doing nothing.

Rose can't understand his almost childlike inability to stop. To just exist, just to be. She supposes it's something to do with the way one escapes time doing nothing. She might not fully understand it, but it's one of the things she adores about him.

As she watches him pulling off his jacket and draping it over the railing, ready to do more unneeded work on the TARDIS she smiles. He looks up at her, a grin spreading across his face.
