Don't own this brilliant anime...sadly.

Summary: Mugen finds his feet somewhat interesting when he's talking to Jin. And he'll keep staring at them and twitching until Jin gets the idea that he's not really listening. The process doesn't take very long. Patience, Jin, patience.

After watching one and a half episodes of SC, I almost instantaneously fell in love. With the show, and Mugen.

And I like Fuu, but...I can't write het to save my life so it's slight slash.

"What are you doing?"

Letting an extremely lazy grin cross his lips, Mugen raised his arms and stretched but didn't break eye contact with the ground.

"Don't know what you mean."

Jin rose his eyebrows in a condescending manner, lifting his chin impossibly high.

"I believe you do. Your feet could not be that intriguing."

"Oh I think they can." Mugen took serious pleasure in Jin's annoyance. "Hey, this towns pretty nice, don'tcha think?" He asked with every intention in his being just to piss Jin off.

And Mugen smirks because Jin does exactly what he had expected.

"Do not change the subject. And where is Fuu?"

"Do I look like her keeper?" The plan was not working quite right, because now he seemed to be the one pissed. Stupid Fuu.

"I suppose you could be." Jin's attention was no longer focused on Mugen and his grumpy presence. Spotting something quite a bit more beautiful, he stopped walking with the Ryukyu and padded over to it.

For the first time, Mugen looked up and watched Jin get closer to a pond. "Hey! You can't just do that..."

But Jin didn't respond, simply sat down and closed his eyes.

Mugen knew he would. Oh yes he did.

"You're so boring Jin. And way too strict. Let loose, fuck some people. I know you want to."

Again, Jin didn't answer and Mugen narrowed his eyes and cocked up his mouth in a grumpy fashion.

Mugen sweat dropped. "You really suck, Jin. I'm gonna go find some food."

"The light of the moon makes your reflection in the pond have a glow in your eyes. It's striking, considering how they usually look so dead."

Smirking, Mugen swirled around and approached him in long, easy strides. "My eyes are black, last time I checked ya know and they're not dead."

Jin nearly grinned, but stopped himself and schooled his features. "How often do you check?"

Mugen said nothing for at least three minutes and forty-two seconds before sniffing the air around Jin (who was mortally horrified) and leaned down until they were nose to nose.

He smiled slightly. "Did you just crack a joke?"

A passive face, no emotion as usual.

"Maybe."

I'll end it there. It's not really slash, but... yeah.
