Hey everyone! I am back for more editing. This chapter in particular needed a lot of work. I hope those of you out there reading this for the first time, enjoy my story. Please know that reviews are the one thing that gives me faith in this story and the urge to continue to make it grow and become better. So with that said please read and review!

The next day Hermione Granger reluctantly got out of their room and made her way back to the pool. She had every intention of staying inside and reading the rest of the trip, but her father wouldn't hear anything of it. He believed that you did not hide from your fears and battles, but rather faced them head on.

"Besides, you'll regret not spending time being adventurous when you're an old fogey like your father." Jason said to his only daughter.

"Dad, you know you're not old." Hermione said laughing at him.

"Heather dear, your daughter must be an angel as she has spoken the kindest words." Jason said puffing out his chest in a manly fashion.

"I shall be young forever." Jason said making Hermione laugh.

"Hermione, listen to your father. While we are always supportive of you engaging your mind, we want you to engage yourself in other ways. Go! Be a kid, be adventurous, and get into trouble for Christ sakes!" Heather said.

"Well, not too much trouble." Jason said smiling at his daughter

"If I go and be adventurous can I come back and read after dinner?" Hermione said trying to compromise.

"Heather, we have to compromise in order to let our child read." Jason said laughing

"What did we do to have such a perfect child?" Heather said smiling at him.

"Just lucky I guess." Jason said smiling back at her.

"If you guys are going to get all lovey dovey I am going to leave now." Hermione said quickly getting up and changing into her swimming suit before saying goodbye to her parents and heading towards the pool.

On her way to the pool Hermione was silently hoping that the red headed boy wouldn't be there today. Though she knew that was unlikely as the pool was one of the best spots to be for young children. Still, there was hope that maybe he and his brothers were busy playing somewhere else on the ship.

After finally reaching the pool she quickly searched the area and to her utmost dismay, the red headed boy and his brothers and sister were indeed there. She decided that she wasn't going to let him spoil her day and stop her from being adventurous. He really was just a stupid boy, why did she care what he thought of her. Hermione laid her towel on one of the chairs and walked over to the water. She dipped her toe in to test the water's coolness before diving into the pool.

On the other side of the pool, Ronald Weasley saw the familiar bushy hair girl from yesterday.

'What is her name again? I know it starts with an H.' Ron thought to himself.

Ron felt bad for making the girl so upset yesterday. He knew he shouldn't have called her names, but when you have two older brothers teasing you, you say anything to get them to leave you alone.

Meanwhile, Ginny Weasley was having fun swimming with her brothers. She loved when her eldest brothers would pick her up and throw her in the air across the pool. It was almost as if she was flying. She loved the idea of learning to fly, but her mother thought she was too young. She was always too young to do almost everything that she considered fun.

After getting tossed once more, Ginny noticed her brother Ron staring off in the direction of the bushy haired girl from yesterday. Ginny rolled her eyes as Ron looked worried. As if the girl would come over and smack him again for calling her names yesterday. Feeling like she wanted to talk to a girl rather than her icky brothers, Ginny swam over to Hermione.

"Hi, sorry about my brothers being mean to you yesterday. They can be real jerks sometimes. Don't tell my mom that I said that because she doesn't like me calling them names. Its un-lady like" Ginny said mockingly

"That's okay. As long as I know who I am then who cares what other people say about me." Hermione said matter of factly.

"Yeah!" Ginny said laughing.

"So I was thinking about exploring the ship today. I was going to ask Ron, but I think I'd rather spend the day with you than one of my annoying older brothers." Ginny said.

"That sounds like fun. My dad told me that he wants me to be more adventurous." Hermione said smiling.

The two young girls swam towards the ladder and climbed out of the pool. They wrapped themselves in their towels and slipped on their shoes.

"Where are you going" Ron asked his sister appearing from nowhere.

"None of your beeees waxes Ron." Ginny said to her brother.

"You know mom said not to go anywhere by yourself Ginerva" Ron said to his younger sister

"I am not, I am going with Hermione, Ronnnnald" Ginny said annoyed with her older brother.

"Well maybe I should go with you. I don't want to get into trouble when mom can't find you." Ron said wrapping himself in his towel.

"No you're not allowed. No boys allowed, and don't even think about following us, right Hermione?" Ginny said.

"Right." Hermione said

"Why can't I come with?" Ron asked.

"Because Ronald, Hermione and I don't want you to that's why so go away." Ginny said while walking away with Hermione.

"Sorry about my brother Hermione. I think he was dropped on his head when he was a baby." Ginny said when they were out of earshot of Ron. Hermione giggled at the younger Weasley.

"Let's go to your room so you can change and then we can go to mine, and then we will be adventurous explorers at sea!" Ginny said excitedly, grabbing Hermione by the arm and walking towards her room.

Hermione walked into her room and noticed that her parents must have gone out to do their own exploring since they were nowhere to be found. Hermione left a note letting them know where she was going and who she was going to be with. Then she quickly changed out of her swim suit and left the room with Ginny.

Hermione walked with Ginny towards her room and waited while Ginny changed. Their room was a lot like her and her parents room only much bigger, and much messier. Boys were really gross when she thought about it. They were unorganized and downright slobs. Hermione was seriously grossed out when she walked by someone's bed who obviously forgotten they were eating as a half-eaten sandwich laid on top of one of the pillows.

'That's unsanitary.' Hermione thought to herself.

"Okay ready let's go!" Ginny said walking out of the room. Forgetting to do what Hermione did and write her parents a letter.

The girls walked around the ship talking about themselves and quickly becoming friends. It really amazed them how big the ship actually was. Ginny dragged Hermione into a room with dancing lights, music, and people dancing. Hermione told Ginny it was called disco. It only took a few minutes for Ginny to convince Hermione to join her and danced along to the music while laughing at the crazy way some of the old people danced.

The girls left the dance party and walked around the ship. Ginny was so enchanted by all the things you could do and see on the ship. Some things she knew she was still too little to do, like rock climbing; her mother would have a heart attack if she found out, and some areas children were not allowed to enter. There were still a lot of activities that her and Hermione could do and see.

"You really never have seen anyone play basketball?" Hermione asked Ginny as her eyes grew wide at the tall men playing a strange sport with a ball and a very tall basket.

"Never." Ginny said cheering as one of the guys made the ball in the basket.

The girls had a blast and before they knew it the sun was starting to go down onto the water. As if on cue, Ginny's tummy began to rumble.

"You know it is getting late." Hermione said looking at how far the sun had gone down.

"Yeah my mom will be wondering where I am." Ginny said.

"Oh you didn't leave a note?" Hermione asked surprised.

"No I forgot." Ginny said feeling uneasy about not telling her mom where she was. She would for sure be worried.

"Well lets go back then. I told my parents I would be home to eat dinner with them." Hermione said turning around.

"Ooooh dinner." Ginny said as her stomach gave another grumble. Hermione giggled at this.

Hermione walked Ginny to her room. They had a great day and for once Hermione felt like she might actually have met a friend.

"I had a lot of fun. Thank you for inviting me." Hermione said smiling at the younger girl.

"Yeah, me too. Tomorrow we should try that bekstball thing." Ginny said

"Ha, you mean basketball. I am not very good at it, but if you want we can give it a try." Hermione said.

"Yay! I will see you tomorrow then." Ginny said quickly giving her a hug.

"I will see you around noon. Maybe I'll give your room a ring before I come by." Hermione said.

Ginny shook her head in agreement. Not sure what she meant by ring but she figured she'd find out tomorrow.

"That sounds good. I'll see you tomorrow!" Ginny said.

"Bye Ginny." Hermione said while turning and heading towards her room.

Ginny Weasley smiled and walked into her room. She sniffed the air heavily and her stomach gave another grumble as it smelled like dinner was being prepared.

"Hi mom! I am home. Sorry I didn't leave a note. I forgot. When is dinner I am sooooo hungry." Ginny said walking towards the kitchen.

"Ginny there you are! I was getting worried." Molly said while embracing her only daughter.

"Mom! I am fine is dinner almost ready?" Ginny asked again getting inpatient as her empty stomach grumbled again.

"Young lady dinner will be ready when it's ready. Where were you today?" Molly asked her.

"I met this girl yesterday named Hermione, Ron called her stupid and I felt bad because she's really smart and nice and we are friends now. So today we walked around the ship and did disco and she told me about basketball and tomorrow we are going to explore the ship again." Ginny said excitingly.

"That's lovely dear but you have to remember to let your father and I know where you are going. This is a big ship full of muggles. I don't want anything to happen to you." Molly said

"Mommmmm nothing is going to happen." Ginny said.

"Ginny!" Molly said giving her daughter a stern look.

"Fine! I promise to let you know if I go somewhere." Ginny said.

"Thank you, that's all I ask is to know you're safe. Now go wash up and tell your brothers that if they don't wash up to there will be no food for them." Molly said

"Maybe I won't and I'll have their portions." Ginny said smiling up at her mother.

"Ginny…" Molly began.

"Just kidding mom!" Ginny said hopping towards the bathroom to wash up for dinner.

"What do you want?" Ginny asked. As she finished washing her hands and was greeted with the youngest Weasley boy standing in the doorway.

"Why are you hanging out with that girl? She hit me in the face. We're family you should be taking my side on this." Ron yelled at her.

"Well excuse me I don't like it when you call me stupid. I don't think Hermione liked it very much either. Plus you were being really mean to her. I also like her and she's my friend so there." Ginny yelled back at him.

"Oh yeah!" Ronald yelled at her.

"Yeah!" Ginny said

"You are sooo annoying" Ron said.

"You are more annoying!" Ginny yelled back.

"No you are." Ron said.

"You!" Ginny yelled back.

"Hey you two, what is all the commotion. Stop this fighting or no one will be going anywhere tomorrow. That means no pool and no exploring the ship." Arthur said to his children.

"Ahh come on dad. It's vacation." Ron said whining to his father.

"Yes, but that doesn't mean we stop having rules now your mother will agree with me on this. So apologize and please wash up for dinner Ron. How you manage to get your hands that filthy on a ship I have no idea." Arthur said.

"Sorry" they said in unison.

Ginny moved past her brother and sat down at the table. Smiling to herself she patted her grumbling stomach before excitedly digging into the wonderful meal her mother had prepared.
