Hello, this is just a simple little thing that I wrote once, after watching D.N.Angel and I felt bad for Satoshi.

This is basically an explanation of what problems Satoshi Hiwatari has to deal with. If you've watched D.N.Angel, then there's not much use for you to read this. But if you haven't watched it and you want to know, then here:

Satoshi's no way out

Satoshi was having real difficult times! He was deeply in love but couldn't be with the one he loved. And that's not one of the usual cases where the two are just separated by others and all the have to do is break free and they could be together. No. In this case Satoshi really could not possibly be with the one he loved. The reason being was a bit complicated, but large enough to keep him away from his love.

Satoshi had spirit, living inside his body, something like another half of himself. Only, the other half was an intruder and Satoshi desperately wanted to get rid of him. The problem was that the spirit, living inside him was obsessed with Satoshi in a way and wanted to destroy everyone who might take him away. With this meaning, he wanted to also destroy the one Satoshi loved, because he was jealous. And whenever Satoshi was aware of the target of his feelings, this would cause his other half to come out and completely take charge of his body. When this happens it would be no problem to take care of Satoshi's love. Satoshi, of course, didn't want that to happen. That's why he was desperately fighting the spirit within in order to stop him from appearing. But, unfortunately, his attempts were pointless. The spirit would keep on taking over whenever Satoshi felt strong emotions towards the particular person.

This is a reason why it was impossible for Satoshi to even go near the person he loved. If he did so, the spirit would appear and destroy that person.

Satoshi could not allow this to happen. The only way Satoshi could protect his love was either by not seeing him, which was a bit hard, as they were in the same school and class; or either by destroying the spirit. To do so he would have to destroy himself as well, but he didn't care, seeing as he had quite a difficult life and with problems, to which he could see no solutions.

The person Satoshi loved was called Daisuke – a guy in Satoshi's class. Yes, a guy. That only made matters worse for Satoshi. He had no chances of ever being with another guy, if that guy didn't fall for guys, himself.

Satoshi was living in pain day, after day wishing for the time it would all end. The time that would bring is own death. Daisuke was a very kind person and would always talk to Satoshi in school. He was always worried, when there was something not alright with Satoshi. He wanted to be near him to help, if he could. Daisuke wanted to be friends with him and this was killing Satoshi. To have his love want to be near you and you, yourself to have to keep a distance. It was all too much for Satoshi.
