Okay people once again we have a short one-shot song-fic from yours truly. This is Tea loves Kaiba since I haven't done it in a while.
Here we go:
The rain began to pour heavily as the girl walked slowly clutching her jacket closer to keep warm. She was in the park when it had begun to rain and now she had to get all the way across town in the weather.
But it was a good thing that it was raining that way no one could notice that she was crying. Funny thing to cry, when you had nothing to cry over or no one to be exact.
On my own
Pretending he's beside me
All alone
I walk with him till morning
Without him
I feel his arms around me
And when I loose my way
I close my eyes and he has found me
The rain had completely wrecked her hair as she now had it plastered on her face and no matter how she tried to remove it, it just slid back down. She finally gave up when she saw herself reflected in one of the passing store glasses.
She looked hideous and she knew that, no point in denying the truth, like the fact that the one person she loved more in the world was about to commit the most horrible mistake he could ever make at least to her.

Seto Kaiba the love of her life was about to marry someone else and to make things worst she was the maid of honor. Her best friend Serenity Wheeler was the luckiest girl in the world and just because she herself never had the courage to tell him how she felt.
He had told her that he loved her and wanted to be with her but she had turned him down. She had been so afraid of what her friends would say that she ruined her life.

There's a way for us
The news of his engagement with Serenity had taken everyone by surprise and the worst of all was that everyone had accepted it, even Joey. She was crushed and had barely been able to make up an excuse to leave the room.
Every time she saw them together it made her want to scream at Serenity that it was her, Tea that he loved and had wanted to marry. It wasn't fair, it just wasn't fair.

But when the night is over

And everywhere
The streets are full of strangers
Tonight would be the last chance that she would be able to tell him how she felt. She was determined to tell him how she felt and wouldn't take no for an answer.
She made her way to the restaurant where they would all be celebrating once last time and prepared herself for anything she might encounter. What she didn't expect was what she saw. At the table she saw Kaiba smile for he very first time, not even when he had declared his love for her had he smiled.

The world is full of happiness
That I have never known
Tea collected herself and left before anyone noticed her. She wouldn't ruin his happiness or her friend's. She had lost her chance at love but wouldn't ruin it for the others even if she herself was never happy again.
