A/N: I still have every intention of finishing this story before July 16th
I know it is getting late, but there is only one chapter (maybe two because it might be too long to finish it all in one). I had some personal issues and that is why I really haven't had time to update, so I thank you for your patience.
The plan was ready to be set into motion.
They still needed one important part to make it all work.
Sirius eyed the Ravenclaw table where his cousin sat surrounded by giggling girlfriends. Right next to her though sat a boy with wavy brown hair. He kept smiling at her and trying to get her attention.
James was still wary about including her. Sirius was positive she wouldn't turn them in even if she wouldn't purchase the supplies. He promised James she was nothing like Frederick; she wasn't even a Prefect.
About fourteen and a half minutes later, Andromeda and the boy started to leave. She spent a few seconds saying goodbye to everyone on her table. Sirius had never realized she was that popular in her House.
"Go!" James whispered as he nudged him.
Sirius followed closely, but they didn't notice anyone was behind them.
Sirius finally called, "Hey Andromeda!"
She turned and her eyes grew wide with surprise when she saw him. "Hello, Sirius."'
She didn't make a move to introduce her friend so Sirius continued, though she was giving him a strange half-smile.
Sirius couldn't understand why he felt so awkward in front of his favorite cousin.
"Can I ask you a favor?"
"What is it?"
Sirius stared a moment at the boy, though he didn't move and Andromeda didn't seem in any hurry to tell him to leave.
"Can you pick up something for me at Hogsmeade? I know its coming up this weekend."
"Depends on what it is."
Sirius's face fell. He suddenly saw the futility of it all. She would never agree.
"Fireworks."
"Fireworks?" she repeated, "And what on earth do you plan on doing with the fireworks? Get in more trouble?"
Uh-oh. She was beginning to sound like Frederick.
"Well indoor fireworks. I'm afraid I can't tell you. It's nothing harmful though"
"I don't know…I could get in big trouble for just having them on me."
"Well if she won't get them for you, I will," the boy said with a grin very like the one Sirius had seen on James when he was thinking mischievously. The boy suddenly looked friendlier.
"Ted! You will not! It would only encourage him to break more rules."
"Ah…I'm sure it's some harmless thing. So what kind do you want?"
"Kind? I didn't know there were different kinds."
"Oh, yes there's all sorts…ones that make noises, give off smells, give off color…practically anything you could imagine," he said laughing.
"And how would you know?" Andromeda demanded.
"You didn't know me too well back then…I was a bit of a troublemaker. I'll just get you an assortment for now."
"Get us whatever this will buy." Sirius handed him a pouch full of money.
"This will be plenty. By the way, my name is Ted. Ted Tonks."
"I'm Sirius."
"I figured that. If there's any money left over I'll give it to you. I'll send you a note about where I can give you the merchandise. For obvious reasons we shouldn't do the exchange in the Great Hall. I'll figure out a spot."
"Thanks, Ted and you too Andromeda."
"Whatever you are planning, just be careful," she said softly. Sirius didn't understand what she was so worried about.
Remus deeply inhaled the familiar musty smell of books.
Remus loved the library. He felt safe and in control surrounded by stacks of books.
He craved knowledge. And public knowledge about his condition might just get him the other thing he deeply wanted, acceptance.
His parents had lost many of their friends soon after he had been bitten. They couldn't accept the fact that his parents had insisted he live a normal life. He had learned early in life the hurt prejudices could cause.
He had already scoured most of the library for books about werewolves. Information was the key to him ever living a normal life. The public needed to be taught that he was not a threat to society as long as he was restrained in someway once a month.
He hadn't always felt this way though. At times he wished his parents had decided to end his life when they learned what had viciously attacked him. And sometimes he feared he really was more monster than human. A half-breed even.
Professor Dumbledore was the reason he was in Hogwarts and Remus felt he could never repay the debt he felt he owed the elderly man.
His parents had written a few years ago to the other Headmaster and he had politely refused.
Then to his surprise a letter from Hogwarts arrived the summer after his 11th birthday. He was accepted, but the Headmaster wanted to talk to them. And that was why he couldn't shake the guilt of aiding his friends in any trouble-making.
"What are you looking for?" a voice piped behind Remus. He had been so engrossed in the book of spells in front of him that it took a few seconds for the words to make sense to him.
Remus looked at Peter warily. When James and Sirius had asked for his help they hadn't mentioned Peter at all. Then again they hadn't specifically instructed not to include him. And he could use the help going through all the books.
"Have a seat," Remus instructed. Peter sat looking eagerly at him, "You can help me. See that blue book in front of you, look if you can find any long lasting invisibility spells."
Peter reached for the book and then stopped, "Are you going to tell me why?"
"Oh yea…sorry. Sirius and James came up with a rather clever prank idea and we need to conceal certain things."
He saw Peter's face fall, "They haven't mentioned any prank to me."
"Well they only told me this morning. We're going to set off fireworks with red and gold glitter attached to them. The Slytherins will be stuck wearing Gryffindor colors for at least the rest of the day. Longer if they can't figure out how to wash the glitter off."
Peter nodded.
"I'm searching for a trigger spell. I got one, but I'm seeing if it's possible to trigger it from a distance."
After a few minutes of silence, Peter suddenly spoke up his face beaming, "I know what else we can do, turn all there silverware, cups, and plates red and gold as well."
Remus glanced up quickly. As much as Peter always wanted to help, the boy's ideas were usually strange or useless. "How would we do that without being seen?"
"Simple really…I never told you a guys but I found the entrance to the kitchen."
"To the kitchens?'
"Yes. There is this large room containing four tables positioned exactly like they are in the Great Hall. The plates, cups, and silverware are placed on the tables and then they magically appear up above."
"Wouldn't the house-elves be suspicious when they see us turning the plates and other things different colors?"
"I don't think they know which table belongs to which house…we could tell them it's a surprise for Gryffindor. They would never know the difference."
Remus looked at Peter unexpectedly, "Yea I guess that could work. We all already know the color-changing spell."
"I don't," Peter said softly.
"Well it's as easy as the levitation charm. It's really elementary."
Peter's face turned red and Remus suddenly remembered how Peter had struggled with every spell they learned, regardless of how easy it was.
He quickly said, "It doesn't matter who can do the spell, as long as one of us can. And you did find the kitchen and that's a huge accomplishment in itself."
"I'm going to tell James and Sirius!" Peter squealed excitedly and before Remus could reply Peter had left.
He could have still used Peter's help, but apparently it seemed he had only wanted Remus's approval before trying his idea on James and Sirius. Peter seemed to need their attention and crave their approval.
Remus sighed and turned back to the books. He could only spare another 30 minutes before turning to do actually homework.
Sirius glared at the pile of homework in front of him. It was Sunday night and he had barely completed any of it. The planning for the prank had consumed his every waking moment. He wanted it to be perfect and flawless. He wanted this to be a prank to remember. Best of all when he was busy working on the prank; he didn't have to think about anything else.
Remus had even convinced the four of them to spend a Saturday afternoon researching. After a few hours James had left to watch Quidditch practice. They had to let him go, he wouldn't stop fidgeting or asking what time it was.
Sirius would have loved to go outside with him, but he felt guilty leaving Remus and Peter alone. Remus had done so much work on his own already and this had been his idea. Sirius wanted to accomplish most of the work himself.
He couldn't really say that the day in the library had been wasted because they had found the perfect triggering and invisibility spell. Sirius felt that was more important than Quidditch since those details might stop them from being caught.
Sirius sighed hoping that if he stared at his homework long enough it would just complete itself. He then quickly gazed at the sleeping form of Peter who had fallen asleep while reading.
Peter's assistance in the prank had come rather unexpected. Somehow the little chubby boy who had absolutely no self-confidence had managed to find the entrance to the kitchens: a gold mine.
Ever since Peter had come running with the news and his idea to enhance the prank, Sirius began to look differently at him. He supposed this made up for him dropping the paper on the last prank.
Though he felt bad he still didn't want Peter to actually execute any parts of the prank. Sometimes Peter was just walking bad luck and they didn't need that at the moment. Luckily Peter would never know he felt that way because Sirius had cleverly made it seem like it was Peter's decision.
The day of the prank arrived. Three days before Gryffindor would play against Slytherin for the second time. The winner would play Ravenclaw for the Quidditch cup. It would be the perfect morale booster for their House.
The House points of both Gryffindor and Slytherin had been flying off all week.
It seemed a scuffle arose every time a Slytherin and a Gryffindor met in the hallway.
Peter had scouted using James's cloak the time when the house-elves usually set the tables below. James gave him a 10 minute lecture about how careful he had to be with it and not drop it, loose it or tear it. He had Peter so worried that Peter almost decided not to take it because James's wrath would be ten times worse than any teachers.
So around 4 am, the four sleepy but excited first years began the setup of the prank of the year. Sirius and James quickly packed everything they needed. Remus would come as the lookout because in order to set it up as quickly as possible they needed both James and Sirius to work simultaneously. Peter would stay behind in case Cory would wake up. He was to stop Cory from alerting their absence.
They began to creep slowly down the silent hallway with James and Sirius bags full of fireworks and Remus's bag full with glitter and string.
So while Remus stood outside the Great Hall under the cloak, Sirius and James began working. The Slytherin table was close to one of the walls. They had decided to line up the fireworks along the wall, attach each in a chain so that they would only have to trigger one from afar and it would start a chain reaction. They quickly attached the packets of glitter to each firework, spreading them out along the whole wall so that every Slytherin would be effected.
James began to run the string that would attach each firework to the other, while Sirius behind him performed an invisibility charm on each separate firework until each one was completely invisible. The only way to ensure they would stay invisible for the next few hours was to do an individual charm on each.
There was always the chance that someone could trigger it accidentally, but the wall was far away enough from the table. Thankfully the Slytherins filed in usually quietly and properly.
After that task was completed, the three of them hurried down to the kitchens. Sirius and Remus kept the house-elves busy with strange demands of odd foods while James under the cloak quickly cast a spell over all the plates. The spell would randomly turn certain items red or gold. It was the best they could do because it would take too much time to cast each individually.
James still covered in the cloak crept behind Sirius and gave him a light tap on the shoulder to indicate he was finished.
Peter never looked so happy to see the three of them return. A current of excitement could be felt when the realization hit that so far everything had happened flawlessly.
Early the next morning, the four of them got ready for breakfast early. They were all so quiet that Cory kept giving them strange looks. James and Sirius exited first and once in the hallway, they quickly covered themselves in the invisibility cloak. Sirius had to admit they were getting quite good at walking simultaneously under the cloak. They hardly ever tripped or stepped on each other anymore.
The two boys entered the Great Hall and positioned themselves near the trigger. They would wait until most of the Slytherins had arrived.
They settled in by leaning against the wall. They were too afraid to actually sit down incase they had to make a quick exit.
"I hope this works…" James whispered.
Sirius nodded silently. Though they had practiced setting the fireworks outside a few times, they weren't entirely sure the chain reaction would work. And Sirius had to admit there were so many things that could go wrong. Remus had courteously listed a few for them a week ago when he was still hoping to talk them out of it.
"Well this is quite boring," James said looking rather anxious.
"We just have to be patient…it will happen soon, very soon."
Sirius had never been patient as a young child, but after years of his mum's constant guidance he had managed to keep his impatience masked. James on the other hand seemed to express whatever he was feeling right out there for the world to see; impatience included.
Though a few early risers had entered the Great Hall for the most part it was empty. Fifteen minutes passed and larger clusters of students began to enter. Time appeared to move in slow motion.
"Since when are the plates red and gold?" they heard a Slytherin girl demand.
Sirius grinned at James.
"Ready?" Sirius asked James when the Slytherin table was almost full.
James nodded, crossed his fingers, and aimed.
Though a few seconds ago everything seemed to be in slow motion, in a matter of seconds right above the Slytherin table 10 fireworks erupted right after another. It all happened so abruptly and loudly, that he had to cover his ears and he noticed James doing the same.
The ceiling mirroring the overcast day outside, was suddenly splashed with color and blazing light.
"Merlin…" James murmured next to him.
There were screams and shouts throughout the whole Great Hall.
The red and gold glitter poured down on the Slytherins. It appeared as if a see-through curtain of glittering streamers had fallen out of the sky. It was a spectacular sight and by the way the Slytherins were gazing upwards in wonderment, they hadn't figured out yet that it wasn't completely harmless.
No one seemed to know if they were supposed to clap, laugh or begin pointing fingers. Remus and Peter were grinning widely. Everyone else was looking at the mess in such astonishment that Sirius hoped the teachers wouldn't notice. And to top it off, Peter, never that bright, kept scanning the wall where they were positioned. It was as if he was hoping to give their spot away.
Malfoy stood up haughtily and made a show of brushing the glitter off his expensive robes. Sirius knew exactly how expensive they were too. His robes were made of the same material.
After three or four attempts, Malfoy's face was now turning red. Quickly the other ever clever Slytherins began to also unsuccessfully shake and brush off the glitter.
Now the students began to giggle and point as the Slytherin table slowly began to panic as they realized the glitter was sticking for good.
"Students please calm down!" Professor Dumbledore bellowed. The Headmaster suddenly looked in the direction they were hidden, and he felt Dumbledore's eyes connect with his own for a split second.
Sirius felt James shiver beside him. Sirius double checked to make sure they were both completely covered by the cloak. He could tell that James had also felt Dumbledore's eyes on them.
Sirius felt his stomach fill with butterflies. If they were caught here, under the cloak, it just screamed their guilt.
"Headmaster! This is absurd and clearly an attempt against the entire Slytherin House!"
"Attempt?" Sirius heard James say under his breath, "I think we were successful."
"Indeed, Mr. Malfoy and everything will be done in my power to catch those responsible. Though I do not believe this was done with malicious intent. Slytherin students please finish eating your meal, and then you may return to your rooms to get a change of robes. You will have to wait until you have a free period to wash the other parts of your body."
There was some groaning and protesting and some Slytherin students choose at that moment to flee the Great Hall, but everyone calmed down for the moment.
Once the Great Hall had quieted down, except for the occasional eruption of giggles from the other houses, Sirius and James slipped out. Sirius hated to leave for he was enjoying the grumpy looks on his cousin's faces, especially Narcissa who was really vain about her looks.
Once in the hallway, they erupted into laughter.
"Did you see there faces!" James cried, "They didn't know what hit them. It was so brilliant to use something like glitter…I mean it seems so harmless!"
Sirius nodded excitedly, "It almost worked too perfectly. I was just waiting for something to go wrong…"
"I think Dumbledore saw us," James said out of nowhere.
"I thought so too, but isn't that impossible."
"Well he is the most powerful wizard in the world…I guess seeing through an invisibility cloak would be nothing for him. Still it doesn't prove we did it."
"Well why else would we conceal ourselves?"
"Let's hope we don't have to come up with any explanations."
"Where have you two been?" Frederick's familiar berating voice brought their conversation abruptly to a stop.
"Did you both finally finish your assignment? I told you guys not to wait until the last minute," Remus said saving them from any interrogation. Remus shook his head at them as if he was severely disappointed.
"So you two were in your room doing homework this whole time?"
"Yes, off course," James said innocently with a very convincing look, "Why? Don't tell me we missed something exciting?"
Sirius had to hide his smile by pretending to yawn.
"Oh you guys missed it!" Remus said, "Someone pranked the Slytherins. It was pretty impressive."
"Yea it was!" Peter piped in, "All those fireworks went off and glitter was everywhere."
"Whoever came up with something like that must be very smart, intelligent..."
"Not to mention good looking," Sirius added with a grin.
Sirus had to grind his teeth to prevent himself from yelping when Remus stepped on his foot, "We have to get going Fredderick, see you later."
They all said goodbye and scampered away leaving the poor prefect looking confused.
"That was stupid! I save your neck and you guys almost blow it. Intelligent and smart… maybe? But to describe your selves as good looking, now that's going too far."
"Ahh it all worked out," James said with a smile.
"It was a brilliant sight," Remus said agreeing.
The rest of the day just got better. Snape walking in his greasy black hair covered in red and gold glitter would brighten anyone's day.
"Hey Snapelous!" James called. Snape visibly cringed, but ignored the taunt.
"Gold and yellow really is your color!"
Everyone in the class except for the other Slytherins who just seemed to want to blend in with their surroundings, burst into laughter.
"I know you did this! Potter! Black! I'll get you back for this!"
"Why don't you prove it," James said carelessly. Sirius saw Remus turn pale with these words.
Then Professor York as always made an entrance, sweeping her brightly colored cape in an impressive fashion "Mr. Potter!"
"Yes Professor?" James asked cheekily.
"Is it really too much of me to ask you to stop starting fights in this classroom?"
"I wasn't…"
"I don't want to hear it. Now everyone take a seat. I found that little stunt at breakfast in the morning very childish and if I find proof any of you had anything to do with it, you can expect to have double the detentions your Head of House decides to give you. This rivalry between Slytherin and Gryffindor must stop. Put your wands away, we will be taking notes the rest of class."
After class, Remus ranted at James for telling Snape to prove they were responsible.
"What are you worried about?"
"That you admitted your guilt! You only say to prove it when you've done something."
"He can't prove it."
Word did spread around as quickly as fire. If word spread because of what James said to Snape or for another reason, they would never know. All they knew is most students knew they were responsible.
Suddenly students, mostly Gryffindors, were stopping them to say they approved of the Slytherin prank.
"Well done!
"Wish I though of it!"
"Bloody brilliant!"
The prank turned them into celebrities. It was genuinely satisfying for Sirius to be revered for a reason other than his Black ancestry. The greatest part was when the older students, 6th and 7th years expressed their support and admiration.
And luck was on their side. Though word among students spread, somehow no word reached the ears of the teachers.
Gryffindor pride was at an all time high for the year and it was all because of their achievement.
Two days later most Slytherins had managed to wash the glitter off. At the game a good part of the female population of Gryffindor decided to show house spirit by dousing red and gold glitter all over their hair and faces.
With the early afternoon sun hitting the students, the whole Gryffindor supporter side appeared to sparkle.
Sadly that Slytherins managed to win the game against Gryffindor. The win though wasn't as fantastic for the Slytherins as they might have hoped because anytime a Slytherin made reference to the win, a Gryffindor could easily mention the word glitter and the Slytherins would clam up and stalk off.
In the end though, Slytherin did lose the House Cup to Ravenclaw that year.
James was more devastated by the second Gryffindor loss to Slytherin then he let on to his friends.
As much as he loved his House and hated to admit any weaknesses about it, the Quidditch team that year was awful. He knew Slytherin deserved to win because when it came to skill, Slytherin was better.
There would be three spots open next year and James hoped desperately that he would be able to fill one of them. With him on the team, they were sure to do better next year. The Slytherins usually resorted to stealth and weight, they just needed light and fast chasers and they would be riding circles around them.
Since the end of their year was approaching rather quickly, James knew it was unlikely they would be able to pull off another prank. A few students had already asked them if they had any plans but he usually shrugged them off.
Ted Tonks actually went out of his way to congratulate the four of them one afternoon. Sirius seemed really keen on the guy, which James took as a good sign, since the boy was muggleborn. It appeared Sirius had really changed his outlook on people such as that. He told them stories about the pranks he had pulled in his second and third year. Ted was a excellent storyteller.
Just because the end of the year exams were approaching, it didn't mean they had ceased all trouble-making completely. Snapelous was one of his favorite targets. One early morning Sirius and James levitated a bucket of ice cold water over his head.
James really wasn't sure why Snapelous turned angry so quickly, his face beet red and practically foaming at the mouth. He threw a bunch of hexes in their direction and one managed to hit Sirius. They had been only trying to help teach him hygiene.
The first year girls also became a favorite target. They were easy to mess with; screaming and running around for the slightest thing. For example, James had transfigured Evan's quill into an earthworm. Needless to say, she was quite angry and dumped an ink well over his head. Even though it had been partly Sirius's idea, it hadn't stopped him from laughing his head off. It wasn't as if the worm was dangerous and he had changed it back immediately.
Then one evening James began to notice a slight change in Sirius's behavior. He asked Remus about it, but he didn't think it was anything.
James knew there was something when Sirius began to disappear in the middle of the night.
James wasn't sure if he should confront him, follow him, or just leave him alone. When James noticed the sleepless nights were getting to Sirius, who became lethargic and quiet in class, he decided it was time for intervention.
So the next night, James pretended to go to sleep. He quietly flipped through his magazine, straining to hear Sirius leave. He then swiftly put on the invisibility cloak on and followed the dark haired boy.
Sirius led him all the way to the Astronomy Tower. The door was locked probably to stop students from coming up here at night. Sirius, didn't even try the door, he went straight to a far corner of the hallway. He looked around quickly and then moved aside two boards slipping through the opening.
James hesitated in front of the sliding boards.
Was he secretly meeting his Slytherin cousins?
Learning the dark arts?
He almost turned back, but his curiosity got the best of him. As quietly as it was possibly to move the loud squeaky boards, he entered the room. He saw Sirius sitting on the ledge of one of the windows gazing silently into the nigh
"Hello James," he muttered softly.
James nearly jumped out of his skin. He was glad he was still invisible because he wouldn't have wanted Sirius to see how startled he had been.
He slipped it off revealing himself, "How did you know it was me?"
"I heard someone moving the boards and as far as I know you're the only person in Hogwarts with an invisibility cloak."
"Your smarter then you look," James said with a laugh, except Sirius didn't smile or laugh back.
"It's so nice up here," Sirius said after a moment as if that explained everything.
"Sorry about following you," James began, "but why exactly are you up here?"
Sirius seemed to be pondering his response, "Just thinking really."
"You could think during the day because in case you didn't know most people sleep during this time…"
"You can see all the constellations from up here," Sirius said changing the subject.
"Any shooting stars?"
"I haven't noticed. You can see my star as well. Did you know I'm named after a star? So is my brother."
"Really?"
"Yea," Sirius said and motioned James to follow him out to the balcony where he proceeded to point out the exact star. "It's also known as the 'dog star'. People say it's the 'brightest star in the sky'."
"Why's it called the dog star? It doesn't look like a dog."
"I don't know, but I've always liked dogs. When I was little some muggleborn kids brought their dog to Diagon Alley and they let me play with it, until my mother yelled at me. He had this beautiful brown coat and he wouldn't stop licking my nose."
"Why don't you get a dog then?"
Sirius's face paled in the moonlight, "They'd never let me get something like that. It would only make a mess in the house. And it would give my parents another reason to yell at me."
James shrugged silently at a loss for anything to say.
"I don't want summer to ever get here," Sirius whispered all of a sudden.
"What?" James asked, not because he hadn't heard him, but because he didn't really understand why.
"I don't want to go back home…I'd rather just stay at Hogwarts forever."
"Is it going to be really that bad at your house?"
"They'll do their best to make me into the perfect heir. I might never get to see you guys again."
"Yes, you will. The summer is only a few months."
"Who knows what a whole summer will do to me? I might come back a Slytherin, James and that means we'll be enemies again."
"Slytherin? You still think you'll be resorted?"
"Yes. My mother will surely have a plan to straighten me out and make me forget all I've learned this year."
James knew he didn't mean in school, but what he had learned from them.
"Well you'll just have to come visit me every few weeks, where I will gladly un-brainwash you."
"I know I won't be able to visit you. And I doubt I'll ever receive any owls you'll send," Sirius said grimly.
"Well I'll send you so many letters they'll have to give them to you."
"Don't bother, they'd rather start a fire in the backyard to burn them all than give me a letter from a Potter."
"All you have to do is hang in there a few months; they can't force you to be resorted. Professor Dumbledore will step in."
"I really don't know if I'll be able to last…" Sirius trailed off and James could tell he was embarrassed, "I don't know if it will even be worth defying them, James."
Sirius gave a big sigh, "I'm going to miss Gryffindor that's for sure."
"Look we can still be friends even if you are in Slytherin…I know it's not conventional, but we will still have some classes together. Can you really see yourself being friends with Snapelous?"
James was glad to see Sirius smile briefly.
Sirius then looked directly at him, "I can't promise you that."
"Just hang in there, Sirius. It will be all right. Even if we end up being enemies…" James trailed off unable to finish.
"I know," Sirius stated simply, "I know."
They sat silently for a few more moments before going back to bed.
James wanted to help Sirius, but the fact of it was he was only an 11 year old boy. Sirius did appear to brighten after their late night talk. .
James realized the best thing was for them to spend as much time together as possible. James figured the closer the bond they formed; the harder it would be in the summer for Sirius to forget about Gryffindor.
With the help of Remus, James went to the kitchens for some supplies. On their way back, they had to make a quick left to avoid Filch and his cat. They hadn't figured out yet if the cat could see through the cloak and with their hands full of supplies it wasn't time to take any chances.
When they turned into the hallway that led to Dumbledore's office, they saw Professor York running down the hallway towards McGonagall. McGonagall was exiting Dumbledore's office
"Is it true?" York asked looking positively flustered.
"Apparently. The Stone of Het Lot has been spotted in the Forbidden Forest!"
Remus who read more books than was natural looked just as confused as he did.
Questions twirled through his mind. Stone of Het Lot?
Thanks for reading and please leave a review.
brennQT: well I'm glad you're not too upset that I hadn't updated as quickly as I said I would…I'm happy you liked how I ended the chapter and that I give Peter some glory and as you see in this chapter, he does tell them about his find
EsScaper: yea I always find myself rooting for the underdog as well…yea not much did happen in that chapter, but this chapter sort of makes up for it
Happyherminchen: haha, yes you do just gotta love them, glad you enjoyed the story
Dweem-angel: yea its sort of hard to come up with original prank ideas, especially since I've read so many marauder fics…I'm glad you think Snape's new nickname is funny (hehe)
Shadow929: thanks for another review and I will post the next chapter soon, I promise
SugarGirl: thank you so much!
Jeanne2: well I'm glad you found the chapter interesting and I'll try my best to keep the rest of the story as interesting as possible
SeekerGirl17: yea it was about time I updated…lol I know…anyway thanks for your review
Pixelfish: haha, updating is always good…I'm happy you enjoyed the chapter
Cinderella9987: yea I agree, I love the close friendship between Sirius and James, which off course would make sense since I am writing a story on it, hehe…thank you so much and one of things I loved about OOTP is that we got to actually see a small part where they showed the dynamics between MWPP and I'm hoping for more in HBP
Elvengirl9: yea…at times I can't help but feel sorry for Peter, which is why I do try to give him some limelight in my sotry… I'm sure he had a hard time with his slowness and being good friends with James and Sirius (who according to McGonagall were too bright for their own good)…well being compared to them would only make it worse for him, he might not even be that below average, but since his friends are so above average that is who and everybody else would compare poor Peter too
Newsieduckling: thank you! I love writing about their friendship and how the bond between them is growing stronger
kyLaaa: its ok…glad you still enjoying it…yea sorry I know its like the middle of June, but I am almost done with their first year so you will be seeing more updates
Mykay Leigh: hangs head in shame grammar errors! Ahh…well I'm glad there's nearly not as many of them (hehe)… well I don't have the time at the moment to scrutinize the chapters for errors, but I will try my best…yea I hate when you haven't read a story in awhile and you forget where you are, lol, well hope you found it and its great that your back reading it and still enjoying it
