A Simple Question

Robin pounded away at the punching bag sweat shimmering on his brow while his uniform was making him feel even hotter. 'Why? Why can't I get her out of my head?'he stopped his relentless pounding to stare at the wall, an image of Starfire earlier that day popped into his head.

-Flashback-

"Dude that cannonball was awesome!"Beastboy stood b the side of the pool complimenting robin who was currently floating in the water.

"Yes it was most glorious!"Starfire squealed clapping her hands together. Robin glanced over at the bikini clad Starfire mentally scolding himself for looking at his best friend like that, even though a smirk slowly formed on his features.

-End Flashback-

'Damn, I shouldn't be thinking about her that way she's my best friend.'she smacked himself in the head trying to clear his thoughts. While all this was going on he never noticed the punching bag swinging back at him and he didn't realize this until it had him square in the chest and sent him tumbling to the floor.

"Shit."he muttered under his breath as an all to familiar presence came hurrying over to him, her green eyes showed worry.

"Robin are you all right? I saw the bag of punching knock you down."she bent down towards him one hand resting on his shoulder for balance.

Robin turned away blushing. "Yeah Star I'm fine just being stupid as usual."

"But I do not believe you to be dumb in the head."she looked down into his masked eyes worried and confused.

"It's just an expression."suddenly he noticed just how close they were.

'Should I kiss her or not?'

'Yeah do it!'

'No I can't Star's my best friend.'Robin contiuned to battle with himself until the reckless side won, he leaned in just when she removed her hand and stood up leaning against the wall.

'Why was his face so close to mine?'Starfire pondered inside her head. 'It's not like he wanted to kiss me or anything. Right?...'

"Robin I have a small request for you."she said looking away from him.

"Okay Star what is it?"he tried to catch her eyes but failed.

"Well I was wondering if...if you...maybe you would...give me a kiss?"she looked up blushing madly. 'Well this is it if he really likes me as Raven says then he should grant me this request.'

Robin just stood there shocked as his brain tried to process what she had said, though tis was a mistake as she took his silence as a no.

"I am sorry to have offended you friend Robin...it is just...I..."

Robin slowly moved toward her surprised that he had a good two inches on the girl and drew her into a hug and whispered in her ear.

"Star I will grant you this if you answer me one question. Why do you want ME too?"he looked down into her green eyes.

"Well, I am having these feelings that Raven thinks is called love towards...well...you."she looked up hopeful again.

"Star I...I have been having feelings toward you too."he slowly leaned in and pressed his lips against her own. Starfire gasped against his lips then wrapped her arms around him and whispered in his ear quickly "I think Raven was right I DO love you."she smiled at him waiting for his response

He leaned in to whisper in her own ear,"I love you too Star." and with those words Robin leaned in to kiss her again.

"Finally."muttered a violet haired who walked out of the shadows shaking her head and doing something very rare...smiling as she walked out of the training room and headed for her own room.

"Now for Cyborg and Bee."
