Death of the Ninja

Zelos stared at the body of Sheena, lifeless and sad, yet still beautiful.

How could this have happened!

If he had only a chance to embrace her one last time.

Flashback

As the two were taking a walk in the Fooji Mountains, they had stopped at the peak to look at the view.

They stood there, just savoring the moment of being together. Sheena looked a Zelos with adoring eyes. He smiled at her as she let herself fall into his chest, letting him embrace her.

"Zelos, if I were to die, how would everyone react?" Sheena asked her boyfriend.

Zelos was shocked to hear this. "Sheena, please, I can't stand to hear a sweet, gorgeous hunny like you even think of dying," Zelos replied.

Sheena closed her eyes and smiled. "You stupid Chosen."

She opened her eyes and looked up at Zelos. Zelos' angel senses sensed something besides Sheena's affection for him: An enemy with nothing to lose.

He let go of her reluctantly, and Sheena, confused, looked around as Zelos drew his sword.

Sheena pulled out her cards, as an arrow pierced her in the back.

She fell to the ground.

"Sheena!" He ran to her and knelt before her.

"Zelos…heh…I never thought it would end here…" Sheena gasped.

"No, Sheena, you have to live!"

"I can't, Zelos. Please…" She motioned for him to come closer.

When they were face to face, they locked lips and kissed.

Zelos felt the life drain from Sheena's lips.

He held her with tears, and then he kissed her brow and let her rest forever.

End of Flashback

Zelos used all his angel sense to pin point the killer's location.

He flew to the exact spot, sword drawn, anger flowing through is veins.

He spotted a resting man on a peak not Far East of the mountain. He landed there with stealth of a ninja, and impaled the ground inches away from the man's head. He realized the man had a strung bow around his shoulder.

The man woke instantly with a start and pulled the bow off of his shoulder and pulled the bow string back as if he had an arrow already strung.

With one swift movement of his blade, he severed the man's head.

He flew back to Sheena and buried his head into her stomach. He heard a soft voice.

"Zelos."

Zelos turned and saw an apparition of Sheena, floating above him.

"I'm going to visit Corrine and Marble. There, I'll be happy. I have a request for you, Zelos."

"WH-what is it?"

"Don't change your ways. I don't want you to change. Because then, the Zelos I knew and loved would be no more. I couldn't rest like that. Promise you won't change."

Zelos smiled with tears. "Of course not my lovely, voluptuous maiden."
