Calm Before the Storm

A Jimmy Trivette fic.-I don't own any part of Walker Texas Ranger, don't sue. You won't get much. sob too poor here.

A normal day at ranger headquarters. Jimmy Trivette sat in his leather chair, though instead of filling out the paper work Cordell Walker had told him too he simply stared at the small pile upon his desk. Several quiet days passed by with nothing to do except for throw a few paper wads at his partner, whom occasionally threw him a dirty look. A subtle sigh escaped his lips " I'm gonna go get some coffee, want anything?" Again that look " What?" Jimmy rolled his eyes at the ever accusing look of Walker.

His Cherokee partner smirked " Trivette I don't think you need anymore coffee, your spastic as it is. " tsk, walker… what else am I supposed to do, how can you sit here so long!" Ranger Walker knew that his partner wasn't the type to sit still for long. However, just as he'd gotten up out of his desk his phone rang. He pointed at Walker with an accusing look of " It's all your fault." The young Ranger walked over to pick up his phone with his usual answer or " yeah, Trivette. " listening to the voice on the other end his features paled several shades.

A nervous glance from the young ex Cowboy quarterback to his best friend..."...Yeah, I'll be right on it. " he'd hung up the phone and turned to the ranger. " It's Big Dog..." This was it, this is what they've been waiting for to happen. For anything too happen . CD sounded serious. This wouldn't just be a casual social visit. The two rangers had gotten into the truck. Jimmy sat back against one of the seats and sighed quietly. Walker cast his partner an anxious glance.."..You alright?" At first it seemed as though the young man hadn't heard him. What was going through Trivette's mind..

If Walker knew one thing his partner was very quiet about things that bothered him. They'd beenworking together now almost two years. Still he knew very little about Jimmy Trivette. What he was about to find would come as a shock. Nobody would suspect such a disasterous thing for such a young ranger..
