My name is Hunter Barlow; I am the daughter of Caitlyn Barlow the great-granddaughter of the greatest outlaw of all of Texas... Kissin' Kate Barlow. 2 years ago when Camp Green Lake: The correction facility for boys closed, my mother purchased the Green Lake from Luanne Walker whose family had owned the town for many generations. My mother turned the camp from a run down camp to a beautiful boarding school. The old tents were taken down and replaced by a building for the senior, junior,sophomore, and freshman dorms. The mess hall and offices were connected to the dorms, and were they are now the cafeteria, auditorium, gym, and some class rooms. Ms. Walker's house was turned into the main office for the principle and sectaries. 2 more buildings were built and connected for classrooms and the elementary and Jr. High dorms. The holes were filled and the lakebed was filled with water; a dock was built into the lake, for a boating and swimming area. Friends, family, nature people, and others helped plant trees and other plants around the area. Concrete was put in for driveways and sidewalks, my mother bought ten buses for the school to pick kids up for school when September 9th would come around and drop and pick them up form their houses for breaks.
A year later Green LakeInstitute was up and running. It had the best teachers and consolers. It didn't exactly have the best students, meaning some of the boys were Camp Green Lake boys. My step-brother Brian also know as Twitch, my best friend Alan also know as Squid, and Ricky also know as Zigzag the guy I tutor for Math.
I'm in ninth grade, meaning I'm a freshman. I don't get picked because Squid and Zigzag are both seniors and the coolest and toughest guys in school, and since I hang around them I have no worries except all the girls in school. Zig is the hottest guy in school all the girls want him even me, Squid is the second hottest guy in school, he doesn't get as many girls as Ziggy, but he does get a lot. I take all of the senior classes because of my G.P.A and I.Q.
I always know the answer to anything, even thought I get straight A's didn't mean I wasn't a bad girl. Not a bad girl like sluty bad more of tomboy delinquent bad. I got into a lot of trouble before Green Lake was bulit. Now that I cleaned up my act I can finally act like a normal teenager.
What to you guys think? I know it's short 2nd chapter will be longer.So all i ask is REVIEW!
