There was a blinding flash of light; a tall, redheaded woman stood where her ghost had hovered only moments ago.

"It's good to be back again." She grinned, revealing neat rows of sharp, white teeth. "I'd almost forgotten what being alive feels like. But now…now I remember. And all thanks to you, Jacky."

Jack stared at her blankly. Was she…thanking him? Impossible! She'd barely tolerated him when she was ghostly, so why would she appreciate him now? What could she possibly want from him?

Whatever she wanted, he thought, she shouldn't have counted on getting it from him. Not with the way she'd treated him before!

He said, "Wha-" and stopped. She was smiling at him again. It was really very distracting. Those teeth…. He stared.

"What what? Do go on." Besides, he thought, she was pretty.

No! No, he didn't really think that, did he? He couldn't…

"Er…um…whatever you want-"

Wuya laughed. "Oh, no, Jacky, it's not what I want that matters!" He really wished she'd stop smiling like that. "It's what you want! I am entirely in your debt." That did not sound right. Especially not coming from her.

"Um...anything?" Jack realized the sorceress was standing a little closer than before.

"Anything. Anything at all! Now, what did you have in mind?"

The resentment he'd felt a few minutes ago had already disspated. There was something in her voice, in the way she was, ever so slowly, edging closer and closer…. "Nothing! Nothing at all, no, absolutely not!" He laughed nervously. "Nothing in mind at all. Really!"

She was less than a foot away now, still grinning. He was still staring -- though now, he had to admit, it wasn't her teeth he was staring at.

"Really nothing, Jacky?"

Five minutes ago, he would never have believed that he'd even want to kiss Wuya. He'd never have believed that she'd let him.

It's funny how things change.

She smiled her evil little smile as they broke apart. "Really nothing, Jacky. Now…have I ever seen your bedroom?"
