SEVEN DAYS
SUMMARY: Nine-year old Himura Kenshin believes he is going to die after he eats a green potato chip.

PROLOGUE: IN THE BEGINNING
In the beginning, there was a nine-year old boy. He was a Japanese child of peculiar coloring. His hair was a fiery red and he had the most beautiful violet eyes that carried a look on innocence in them. Thus, he was shunned by many other Japanese people who feared he was a bad omen.
At age seven, his parents died, leaving him orphaned. (Un)Fortunately, an uncle was able to take custody of the young red head, though he was a harsh man that seemed to not like the child at all.
So, for two years at the uncle's house, the boy was almost alone because the drunken uncle was a hermit that really could care less about the child.
Thankfully, though, during these two years at school, the boy was able to make a few friends. One included a sapphire eyed girl by the name of Kamiya Kaoru. She had long, ebony hair that was tied back by a single ribbon and her smile was said to bring even the gloomiest person out of their despair.
She was a special child and the young red head realized this. During those two years, he grew to love this Kaoru who was so kind and caring.
However, about a week after the red head's ninth birthday, he did the unthinkable.
He ate a green potato chip.
The nine-year old had no idea what he had done until another friend he had gained found out what he had done a few hours afterwards.
This friend of his, Sagara Sanosuke, wasn't the brightest of children, in fact, he could barely put his shoes on correctly. But what he told the red head had been the Absolute Truth. Something passed down to every child.
"My friend," Sanosuke had told the wide eyed red head, "you have done the Unthinkable. You have eaten a green potato chip." He paused here to sigh (dramatically), "I'm afraid you have only seven more days to live." And the red head believed him.
Himura Kenshin had eaten a green potato chip andwould nowdie in seven days.
A/N: Before I begin, I'm going to say that don't expect an update in awhile. I wasn't going to post this until I finished writing the whole thing out, but I couldn't help it! So, I'mgiving you guys the prologue, but an update may take awhile because I'm going to finish writing this fic and then post the rest of it up! Patience, my friends!
Okay, I must be so crazy to start yet another fic! Do not fret, however! I will still be updating my other fics (besides Silent Trust, which is on hiatus)! Just thought that those who have read my other fics should know that!
Yes, I agree with you. This is short, but it had to be done! Okay, how did I get this idea, one may ask? I have no idea at all. I must be damn crazy or something. Yes, this is based on an episode of the children's TV show on PBS, Arthur by Marc Brown. You know, for those that had seen Arthur, the one where D.W. and Binky try to do all they wanted after they found out they had eaten "poisonous" green potato chips. I don't think they had a time limit to how long they lived, but I decided to add one here! Ahaha.
