glass back and downing the contents swiftly.
"Wait, I thought Janet said you weren't supposed to

Jack bristled angrily. "Dammit Daniel! Didn't you hear me!"
"Of course I heard you," Daniel said affectionately and gently bopped Jack's nose with his glass. "It would be hard NOT to with the stuttering you put on. It was...cute."
"Cute."
"Cute!"
"I put myself on the line, and all you can say is 'cute!'"
"Seems to be it. I DID say yes, after a fashion."
"Dammit, I just asked you to marry me! The least you could do is say you will properly!"
