A/N: I'm a bit tired of writing serious fics, so I decided to write a bit of Spike and Harmony fluff. Enjoy! The typo concerning Spike's age has now been corrected!
Spike glanced around the spacious Wolfram and Hart elevator. He laughed inwardly, as he observed the law firm's employees, crowded together as far away from him as they could get. "At least some people give me the respect I deserve, now I'm a real boy again," he thought. The elevator's doors finally opened, and he prepared himself to make the unavoidable daily pass of Harmony Kendall's desk, on his way to Angel's office. However, what greeted him this time was totally unexpected.
A shower of pink glitter cascaded over Spike's head. He stopped short, and glared disapprovingly in the blonde secretary's direction. Harmony bounded excitedly from behind her desk.
"Happy birthday, Blondie Bear!"
Spike raised his eyebrows. "Happy what?"
Harmony sighed and rolled her eyes. "Birthday. You know, those things where people celebrate their birth?"
"Harm, I know what a bloody birthday is. What I'm interested in, is why you're tipping glitter over me."
"Well, duh. Because it's your birthday! This is the date you were born, one hundred and…whatever years ago. I have a surprise for you!" Harmony proclaimed with a huge smile.
"Harm. I can't even remember when I was born. So how do you, you ditz?" Spike asked in frustration.
"Well, you see-"
"Never mind. I'm going to go…scrub my skin until this glitter comes off. Right after I insult that miserable boss of yours." Spike shook his head and walked in the direction of Angel's office. Harmony ran after him anxiously.
"Spikey, wait. You might not wanna go in-"
Spike opened the door and was immediately attacked by seven huge, magical balloons, all bearing the words 'Happy Birthday Blondie Bear'.
"-there," Harmony finished. "I told you I had a surprise for you."
