"Rubbish"
Harry Angrily threw another Daily Prophet into his trash bin and sat on his bed. It was long after dinner time and he still hadn't eaten, but Harry wasn't very hungry. He really just wanted to get out of the house but lately the weather outside had been matching his mood. It rained for the last three days straight. On days like this Harry just stayed in his room, coming out only for meals or if he was summoned by his aunt or uncle. That of course was rare. Harry was beginning to feel extremely lonely. He hadn't herd form Ron, Hermione or Sirius in almost a week. Even when he did get letters from them they weren't much. The lack of information was very frustrating, but it was worse just not having anyone to talk to. Mrs. Figg, the old cat lady down the street seemed to be the only person in Surry who took an interest in being nice to Harry as most of the people around town were scared of the "horrible child who goes to the school for incurably criminal boys."
The doorbell rang. This was unusual, they usually didn't have visitors. The only people crazy enough to go to the Dursly's were friends of Dudley. Harry sat up and tried to hear what was going on downstairs. The sound was to muffled to make out words but he could tell Vernon sounded angry.
"Boy, get down here"
Harry jumped to his feet. 'What did I do?' he thought 'I've been inside for days'
When he got to the bottom of the stairs he nearly tripped. Remus and Mad Eye Moody were standing in the living room. He didn't know what to say, he just stood there shocked.
"Are you all packed?" asked Remus
"What, no, I wasn't expecting"
"You didn't get our owl?"
"No"
"I sent a letter with Hedwig over a week ago"
"She's not back yet"
"That's strange, well, go pack, quickly"
Harry happily obeyed. Getting out of the Dursly's this early was amazing. He thought he was going to be stuck there all summer. Just as he closed his trunk and knot fell into his stomach. He picked up Hedwig's cage. Harry was worried, he thought she was just resting where ever they were, but if Remus sent her out with a letter over a week prior, she should have gotten back days ago. Harry sighed and began pulling his trunk.
"Where are we going?" Harry asked as Remus lightened his trunk and attached it to his broom.
"You'll see, better not to discuss it here"
Remus pulled an envelope out of his pocket and handed it to Aunt Petunia, who with Uncle Vernon had been watching both interested and horrified.
"This is from Dumbledore explaining the situation, if you are to feel that anything is not right. Strange people around the house, strange noises, contact us immediately. The letter will explain everything."
Harry was confused but chose not to ask anything. Moody preformed an invisibility charm on them and they stepped out the door on their way.
