He turned on heel and strode from the room, eyes forward, back ramrod straight. It wasn't until he had gained the shadows of the garden that he allowed himself to breathe.
Inexcusable!
Heat rushed through him as he recalled the feel of her skin beneath his thumb; the way her eyes had widened and her breath had caught as he gently wiped the bit of pudding from her chin.
Pudding, he thought, as he raised the thumb to his lips. The only taste of her I shall ever have.
