A.N Just a little thing that popped into my head on the eve of the new Harry Potter! Yay! It's also a sort of sequel to my other drabble the Pan. I'm trying something more stylized, I guess. It's my second fanfic so still not very good. And very short.

When Harry saw the door of Grimmauld Place he didn't think he could stand to go inside. After even only minutes of freedom from the Dursleys. Didn't think he had the strength to be trapped inside.

When Harry walked through the door of Grimmauld Place the portrait of Sirius's mother was already ranting. The portrait Sirius's had hated. He handed his bags to Snape and strode. Past Moody, Tonks and Mrs. Weasley. to stand in front of it.

"Mrs. Black," spoke Harry Potter. In a voice so cold and deadly the portrait stopped mid-rant.

"Mrs. Black, I have a bit of news for you. Then you can carry on. Sirius left me this house. You made this home a prison for your son, both in life and death. But it's mine now. So when this war is over I am going to burn your family home to the ground."

The portrait gasped. It was echoed by several order members. The portrait flicked its eyes to Harry's scuffed shoes, too large clothes and bruised cheek. It sneered. It opened its mouth. And

"A half blood like you wouldn't dare destroy my ancestral house." It stated quite confidently.

Harry smirked.

"Actually, I think it would be quite ironic. Let your house lie has mine, Godric's Hollow. The Black name and house in ashes. Put there by a half-blood."

There was a dull thump in the background. The portrait remained silent.

Harry smiled. Maybe he should try this with Aunt Petunia one day.

And with that he walked back to the doorway. Grabbed his bags from where Snape had dropped them. And winked at him.

"I'm going to take a nap. Wake me for lunch." He stated to his…audience.

When he went up the stairs of Grimmauld Place he put his things not in the old guest bedroom but in Sirius's room. He'd conquer this house for Sirius. One nightmare at a time.
