Dark Days Pass But Are Never Forgotten

I have no problem with flames, criticism even people telling me how badly my grammar sucks…
YES! I've seen the movie!!! YES! I know that the movie says that James was a seeker. I know Susan Bones was a red head in the movie. I have not heard or read anywhere the actually color of Susan's hair….that is the only reason I opted to make it brown.
I really wanted to write this authors note to reiterate that I do not take the movies for the gospel. I love watching the HP movies…I think they're cute. In fact the reason I started reading Harry Potter was because of the First Harry Potter film. BUT I think everyone will agree with me that Hollywood takes the liberty to edit and change things as they see fit. Even if Rowlings is watching them with a magnifying glass, it's still a movie, and movies always deviate from the book.
Rowling said James was a chaser, and regardless what the movie says….James Potter will be a chaser until Rowling corrects herself. I hope I'm not offending anyone…that is not my intention…I'm just feeling a slightly fluster as an author.
I'm not perfect so I might miss a detail or two…If I do make a mistake, can you please point it out without making it sound like I'm an idiotic fool. I am a writer who is keeping my time in-between books by taking the theories in my head and making them come to life on my computer screen. Okay, this authors note is too long….I'm going to slip off to the side line and let my story continue. If you can accept my mistakes, overlooks and grammatical imperfections please continue. Regardless, I'll continue with this adventure until I reach the end.
Read and review..
Nothing is my Own
And thanks again for allowing me to rant for a bit!!!

Mission Revealed
He couldn't see much, only twinkling night sky. He rubbed his eyes but the burr of his vision did not repair itself. Harry rose to his feet and glanced around at his surroundings. He was in the Dark Forest, just off the Hogwart's grounds.
What was he doing at Hogwarts?
"Harry," called a giggly voice, "over here."
His eyes caught sight of a figure in white twirling her nightgown in the cool evening breeze. Harry's feet carried him towards the figure as he found himself joining in with her laughter a he began to chase her around on of the nearby trees.
Harry peeked around a large oak when he felt a pair of arms seize him around the neck.
The two tumbled to the forest floor.
"I love you," the figure whispered, her face was blurry like the rest of his surroundings. Her dark hair billowed behind her as she laughed lightly.
"I love you too," Harry replied as he tried to squint his eyes to get a clear sight of her.
As he did, the figures face inched closer and closer to his…Suddenly the blur of the image cleared.
"Get Up Potter!"
Harry awoke as a sharp pain pierced his side.
"What the hell do you think you're doing? I knew I couldn't count on you to stay awake," Noel hissed before stabbing Susan in the ribs with her wand.
Susan nearly knocked Noel over as she jumped to her feet, and drew out her wand.
"It's nearly morning, we all need to get our guard ready," Noel instructed as she moved to her next victim, Michael who was still in his sleeping bag.
Harry rubbed his sore side bitterly; "How long have you been awake?"
"All night. I can't believe the ministry selected you all to be Aurors. Have you learned nothing?" Noel continued.
Susan placed a hand on Harry's forearm to keep him for responding to Noel comment.
Michael gave a brief yawn, "Well, I guess as long as one of us kept guard it's okay."
Noel rolled her eyes and began to transfigure the sleeping bags back into rocks.
"I think we should split up," Harry suggested, "We can cover more ground that way."
"Let me guess, me and Michael and you and Susan," Noel said with annoyance.
Harry narrowed his eyes, "Michael and I will take the North side and you and Susan and take the South side."
"If you get into trouble just send up a wand flare," Susan said quickly before Noel could respond.
The four parted with a quick nod.
"What is her problem," Harry muttered as soon as he was positive they were out of hearing distance.
"Who?" Michael asked as if it wasn't obvious.
Harry rolled his eyes, "Who do you think I'm talking about?"
Michael considered for a moment, "Well, you could be talking about Cho, or Noel….I mean mate you have so many girl issues right now."
"I'm not talking about Cho!" Harry hissed.
"Easy, why all the anger?" Michael asked holding up his hands.
The question caused Harry to shake his head and sigh, "I'm sorry…..I just don't know anymore."
"I completely understand, she dumped me too," Michael reminded.
Harry bit his bottom lip, "Do you think we'll work through this?"
"Honestly?" Michael asked, "I've foreseen the break-up coming for a long time. Cho is a sweet girl, but she needy. You never really gave her the attention she wanted."
"Thanks Professor Trelawney," Harry said sarcastically.
Michael shrugged, "You asked for my input."
Harry nodded, "Yea…..so you think I should move on?"
"I can't tell you what to do mate."
"What do you think of Susan?" Harry asked, trying to sound casual.
Michael let out a snicker, "Bones? She isn't really your type is she Harry?"
"What is that suppose to mean?" Harry asked.
Michael grinned as he grasped Harry's shoulder, "Everyone knows you have a thing for a pretty face. I mean Cho, Parvati…. Do you see the connection? Bones just doesn't exactly fit into that category."
"So you wouldn't date her?" Harry asked.
Michael made a funny noise, "I have a thing for a pretty face too."
"I asked her out last night," Harry said quickly, unsure if he really wanted Michael to hear his comment.
Michael laughed lightly, "You did? Well, good luck with all that."
"She's a sweet girl," Harry defended, "We have a lot in common."
"You mean besides having dead parents?" Michael questioned boldly.
Harry face hardened, "I didn't expect you to understand."
"Listen, I think Susan is a sweet girl to, but I just don't think she's your type. She's too burly…. Why don't you ask Parvati out if you really want to move on from Cho?" Michael asked.
Harry shook his head, "Parvati definitely isn't my type. She's too much of an adventure for me."
"So it's true. She did pull you into a broom closet and snog you?" Michael asked.
Harry shook his head, "And she gossips too much."
"Oh Harry…" Michael started but a noise caused the two boys to fall silent.
It seemed like ever noise in the forest died as Harry and Michael both strained their ears for any sigh of the noise. Harry tried to scan the woods when he caught sight a red ball of flames hurling towards them. Harry jumped out of the way landing with a hard thump, but Michael who had his back turned caught the full force of the hex and fell to the ground.
Harry scrambled behind a rock and tried to steady his breathing so he could hear what was moving around him.
"COME OUT!" he shouted.
" Diffindo."
Harry ducked again as the spell hit the rock just below his head.
Harry could barely see Michael from where he was hiding, but he could tell he wasn't moving.
"Mobilirocus ."
Harry plastered himself to the forest floor as the rock he was hiding behind lifted into the air and moved nine feet to his right. He dodged out of three more hexes rolling clumsily into a thorn patch. The needles dug into his skin, but he ignored the pain. He had to keep up constant vigilance he'd be hit.
"Show your face!" Harry shrilled, causing another flash of red to come soaring in his direction.
Harry shook his mind as he tried to figure out what do to. He had always been good a figuring ways out of situations.
"Flarious!" Harry yelled pointing his wand into the air. "I just summoned for back up! It's over, you'll soon be surrounded."
"Instead of a surrender he heard a growing cackling coming from a nearby tree line.
"Accio wand ," Harry attempted to summon, but the cackling died and the wand never came.
Harry breathing increased as panic started to rise within him. He had no idea how many Death Eaters were out there. He was even questioning whether or not this was part of their assessment. The motionless Michael told Harry that this was real and not just a game.
"I'LL KILL YOU IF YOU DON'T SURRENDER!" Harry shouted, hoping to get more cackling so he would know which direction to shot a hex.
"I think it is you who is out numbered," a voice taunted from a different direction than the cackle had sounded from.
"EXPELLIARMUS!" Harry shouted pointed is wand in the direction of the voice.
A ball of blue hurled towards Harry, a blasting charm of some sort, and caught him in the right shoulder and knocked him backwards. Harry let out a moan of pain as he tried to regain his composer.
" Incarcerous," A dark hooded figure emerged from behind Harry shouting out the incantation before he could gather himself to defend himself. The ropes tightened quickly around Harry's arms and midsection, binding him to the ground.
Harry struggled for a moment before the hooded figured seized his wand off the ground.
" EXPELLIARMUS !"
Harry snapped his head when he saw Susan and Noel emerging from the nearby shadows.
The robed victim flew off his feet, while he was taken off guard Susan cased an immobile charm on him.
"Are you okay?" Susan asked quickly as she untied Harry's ropes.
"Michael was hit by something, he's unconscious," Harry replied as Noel tossed him back his wand.
"Why am I not surprise," Noel said in an annoyed tone.
"How many?" Susan asked, choosing to ignore Noel comment.
Harry shook his head, "I'm not sure, I'm fairly positive there is more than one."
Noel sighed, " Fallivious ."
The tree line on the opposite side of the clearing that Michael and Harry had been attack in suddenly became as open as a winter forest as the leaves fell of the trees and bushes.
Harry glanced with respect at Noel for her quick thinking, and scolded himself for not thinking to use it earlier.
Another robed victim was now exposed and Susan casted her own Incarcerous on the figure. It seemed they were safe for the moment.
"What was Michael hit with?" Noel asked as she rolled Michael over to examine him.
Harry joined Noel; "I don't know, I didn't hear the incantation. It was a red flame though."
Noel rolled her eyes, "Well that really narrows it down, doesn't it?"
"Ennervate," Susan said quickly, hoping a simple reviving charm would work.
"I don't think a reviving charm is going to work. If he was hit with a red spell, than it is possible he was his with a coma hex," Noel deduced.
"A coma hex? Why in the world would they use a coma hex?" Harry questioned.
Noel wrinkled her nose at Harry's question, "How the bloody hell am I suppose to know the answer to that ridiculous question?"
"It doesn't matter," Susan responded quickly, hoping to cut off Harry and Noel argument before it started, "We need to get Michael out of here, and these two into the hands of the proper authorities."
"We are the proper authorities!" Noel snapped, "We aren't even sure what we're suppose to be doing!"
"Odd, I was under the impression you knew everything," Harry retorted bitterly.
Susan went to tend to the prisoners, who were both now securely bounded by tight robes, which inhibited them from disapprating. She attempted to yanks the hood down from one of the figures, but it wouldn't come off.
"They must have some kind of charm on their hoods," Susan muttered, "Who are you."
The one figure that was still conscience didn't respond to Susan's question.
"Blast, I'm going back to the Academy to get help," Susan decided, "If I go, will you two refrain from hexing one another?"
Noel narrowed her eyes; "I can make no promises since Potter enjoys attacking fellow Aurors. I'll do what I have to do to defend myself."
"This isn't even right!" Harry snarled, "What the hell is your problem?"
"I don't have a problem, unless you consider being stuck in the an evil forest with an ignorant fool who believes werewolves can be tamed a problem that is."
"Noel," Susan warned, "why don't you go get help at the Academy."
Noel flashed Susan a cold look, "So you can be alone with Potter? How romantic."
"This is absurd!" Harry said again, "Susan just go, and hurry!"
Susan considered for a moment then disapparated with a loud crack.

Why had she come here? Cho closed her eyes and willed her tears not to fall. She couldn't believe her life had become so miserable that the only person she had left to turn to be Marietta Edgecombe.
Marietta was once one of her closest friends, but since her relationship with Harry had begun the two had drifted apart. Now Cho found herself kneeling for pity at the feet of the one person who would love to rub salt into Cho's open wound.
"I told you Potter was nothing but trouble, I warned you he'd break your heart," Marietta said sharply as she poured Cho a cup of coffee.
Cho shook her head miserably; "I really don't want to talk about Harry right now."
"I can't believe Eros Raymer abandoned you," Marietta continued, "You must report this to December O'Riley."
Cho sighed, "Eros is a well respected Auror. Do you honestly think anybody is going to believe me?"
Marietta frowned, "Well, I can talk to my mum…. she's got some pull in the Ministry. Maybe she could find you a job in the Department of Transportation."
Cho fought back her tears, determined not to let Marietta see her cry, "I'm an Auror, Marietta. I can't just give up everything I've worked for the past year."
"Well, then you have to go talk to O'Riley. You can't just sit here a cry," Marietta.
said bluntly, she was never one to care about how harsh her words came across, "You know you're welcome to stay here as long as you need to. I'm dating Brendan Goldstein, do you remember him?"
"Wasn't he Anthony Goldstein's brother," Cho said hoping Marietta wouldn't notice the quiver to her voice.
Marietta smiled at Cho's remembrance, "He finished about five years above us. We work together at Willworm Wizard's Publishing."
"Oh, so he knows Eros then?" Cho asked as her eyes began to brim.
"I suppose, but Eros Raymer finished a couple years before him," Marietta said casually.
Cho head fell into her hands as she began to sob. The thoughts of Eros had finally broken Cho's will.
"Oh Dear, don't cry," Marietta pleaded pulling Cho into a hug, "You know I can't stand it when you cry."
"It was horrible," Cho sobbed, "He told me I had to chose between himself and Harry. He told me Ran was disappointed in me."
"Why do you always take everything so personally," Marietta asked gently, "I knew you'd never make it through Auror training, you're to tender hearted. You haven't been yourself since Cedric died."
Cho sobbed even louder, "All I want is for someone to love me."
"If you ask me, you're better off without Harry Potter and the whole preposterous Auror thing. He has caused you nothing but trouble," Marietta said, "I suppose you should go to Witch Weekly and the Daily Prophet and tell them you aren't getting married now."
Cho looked up from her hands, "He never wanted to marry me. I'm not sure he even ever loved me."
"You should have dated Roger Davis, he was a smart match," Marietta said, recalling the crush the former Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain had on Cho.
Cho wiped her eyes, "Davis, he was nothing but a pig. Exactly how many girls did he snog? Including Fleur Weasley?''
"Who?" Marietta asked.
"You remember, Fleur, from the tri-wizard tournment," Cho stuttered as her mind was suddenly was flooded with the memory of Bill and Fleur's wedding.
"That French girl married a Weasley? I've heard everything now," Marietta said in disbelief.
"What is wrong with the Weasleys?" Cho asked narrowing her eyes slightly.
Marietta shook her head; "I swear you've been around Potter for too long."
Cho bit her lip angrily as she turned away from Marietta, afraid she would soon say something she'd sincerely regret.
"Well, leave it all to me. I'll have you over Potter in no time. Oh, Brendan has a roommate," Marietta said cheerfully, mistaking Cho's silence for weakness, "What do you think of Anthony?"
Cho sighed, "I'm not interested."
"Of course you are. After the way Potter treated you," Marietta insisted.
Cho rolled her eyes, "Have you not heard a word I've said. Harry isn't why I was kicked out of Auror Academy. It was Eros Ramyer."
"Is he still as good looking as he was at Hogwarts?" Marietta pushed.
"Looks aren't everything!" Cho shrilled before breaking down into sobs again.
Marietta looked taken back again before she attempted to hug Cho, rocking her awkwardly back and forth in the arms.
Cho attempted to take a few deep calming breaths. How had her life come to this? She would have liked nothing better than to tell Marietta exactly how petty and close-minded she was and march right out her front door, but she couldn't. Cho Chang had nowhere to go. Her father surely had gotten word of her denial of Eros Raymer, and more than likely his version of the story.
Eros Raymer had also probably told the entire Ministry of Cho's betrayal. She was outcaste from career she had pledged herself to. She had no friends. Her friends fell into two categories. The ones she abandoned when she fell in love with Harry, and ones who were Harry's friends first. No, the only one in the entire world she had left to turn to was Marietta.
"Oh Cho, it's going to be alright. Don't cry," Marietta whispered.
Cho pulled back and dabbed her eyes with the edge of her sleeve, "I'm sorry. I'll be fine I promise."

December O'Riley shook her head nervously as she and Susan Bones walk slowly through the corridors. Susan had quickly told Master O'Riley the predicament she had left Harry and Noel in. December didn't seem to be in any rush to reach the two trainees. Instead she seemed to be staling to rush to their aid.
"Master O'Riley, there could be more Death Eaters in the forest, shouldn't be leave immediately," Susan said, trying not to sound too desperate.
December nodded, "You said Corner was hit by some red flaming spell, is that correct?"
Susan shook her in, confirming December's question.
"Well, it would be silly for us to go into such a situation without a mediwitch," December explained. "Perhaps one of the healers would be willing to accompany us."
"That is a smart idea," Susan said quickly, as looked at December nervously, "But I left Harry and Noel alone in the forest. What if they're attacked."
"Well, good heavens. I hope the two of them are able to hold their own. If they can't handle a few Death Eaters they're in the wrong trade," December retorted as she softly knocked on a classroom door.
"But Master O'Riley. I don't know if it was wise for me to leave Harry and Noel alone," Susan tried to explain.
December turned to face her with a puzzled expression, "Surely you aren't suggesting they'll turn their wands against one another?"
"No, of course not," Susan said quickly, "But all the same, I don't think we should leave them alone for any extended period of time."
December raised her eyebrows, "I see, well….let us hope they learn to work with one another, for their own sake. Ah, it looks like the Healer trainees are in the field doing their own assessments. I suppose we should wait until they return."
"What? But Master O'Riley. That could take hours," Susan protested.
"Do you have any other suggestions?" December asked.
"What about Master Webb? He's a certified Healer," Susan said instantly, hoping her suggestion would be taken.
December nodded and fought back a smile, "A worthy suggestion. Master Webb would be an excellent choice to help us identify what happened to Michael."
"Noel suggested that it could be a coma hex," Susan continued as December started on a route towards Master Webbs office.
"A coma hex? Why would Death Eaters use a coma hex?" December said sarcastically.
"Harry asked the same question, Master O'Riley," Susan said.
"And? Any ideas?"
Susan bit her lip, "Perhaps we weren't attacked by Death Eaters?"
"What are you suggesting Miss Bones?" December pushed.
Susan looked as if she was considering not answering, "Well, we've been studying coma hexes in Master Webb's lessons. Perhaps the whole ordeal is just part of our assessment."
"Excellent deduction," December smiled, "Do you remember what the counter curse to the coma hex is?"
Susan lowered her head, "Not exactly, we only barely touched on the subject. I spent the majority of my studies on more likely incantations."
"I see, well then you didn't take every aspect of your training seriously," December said sternly, "Meaning, you weren't prepared for your first assessment."
"But Master Webb only just mentioned the hex. I don't even remember him mentioning a counter curse," Susan protested.
December frowned slightly, "Perhaps you can create an excuse for not using the many books in our massive library to research a mentioned hex."
"No Master," Susan said softly.
"Do you think Harry or Noel did any further research on the hex?" December asked.
"Noel obviously remember it was a red flame hex, but she didn't seem to know the counter curse either," Susan answered.
December O'Riley sighed, a sigh of disappointment, "Well, I suppose we best be getting to Fangora Forest. It appears I'll have to revive Mr. Corner myself."
****
Harry sat on his bed in the lone dormitory room with his eyes closed. How did they do so terribly on their first assessment? They had only managed to catch two of the ten mock Death Eaters and Michael Corner was hit with a minor coma hex, which rendered him unconscious for nearly two days, even after the counter curse was administered, by none other that Master December O'Riley. She proceeded to give them a lengthy twenty-minute lecture on not doing the proper research needed to complete the assessment.
Michael had been brought back to the Academy where he would under go medical treatment, while Harry, Noel and Susan would be asked to redeem themselves by capturing the remaining Death Eaters.
Harry had fallen asleep during the next watch that evening and the two captured Death Eaters had managed to escape. The group had been unsuccessful at locating any more Death Eaters or completing the assigned task.
"It could have been worse I suppose," Hermione said lightly as Susan finished telling her about Master O'Riley latest lecture.
Harry made a bitter sound under his breath and he rolled his eyes, "Exactly how could it have been worse?"
Hermione made a 'tus' sound, "At lease you weren't captured. Isn't that worth something."
"Michael was rendered into a coma and we didn't catch a single Death Eater. I think we might have had a better chance if we were captured," Harry retorted.
"We would have had two Death Eaters, if somebody hadn't fallen asleep," Noel said acidly as she narrowed her eyes in Harry's direction.
Hermione frowned slightly, "Well, at least Michael is okay. Madame Hornberry says he should come to tonight."
"He could possibly be the only one who isn't expelled form Auror training after our assessment results come back," Susan said dumpily.
"I'm sure it isn't nearly as bad as you all are thinking," Hermione sighed, "They can't expel all of you."
Harry's eyes perked up for a moment at the mention of the word expel, "Has anybody heard about Cho's whereabouts?"
Hermione looked slightly confused, "Whereabouts?"
"She had a row with Raymer, and quit," Harry explained impatiently.
"Master Raymer," Susan corrected.
Hermione shrugged, "I haven't heard anything about it."
Harry rose from his bed, "Master O'Riley was suppose to attempt to locate her, but I don't know if she had any success. She may have become preoccupied with her lecture towards us and all."
"I wonder where Cho would gone? I'm sure December O'Riley checked her parents house already, " Hermione asked.
Terry looked nervously around the room, "Marietta Edgecombe."
"Marietta? The one who snitched on the D.A. I thought Cho didn't get along with her anymore," Hermione questioned.
"Do you all remember Anthony Goldstein?" Terry asked.
Harry glanced at Hermione who was nodded.
"I keep in touch with him. His brother Brendan is dating Marietta, and Anthony sent me an owl this morning telling me I'd never guess who was staying at Marietta's house. He knew I was in Healer training, and wanted to get the gossip on why Cho had quit Auror training," Terry explained.
"Where does Marietta live?" Harry demanded.
Terry shrugged, "No idea mate. Anthony didn't say."
"Well owl him back and ask him," Harry stated as he passed Terry a sheet of paper.
Terry shook his head, "What are you going to do?"
Harry sighed, "Second thought, where does Anthony live?"
"Liverpool, right outside the city. There is a small magical community there known as Harpy's Gate," Terry said, still looking skeptically at Harry.
"Does anybody have any Floo powder?" Harry asked turning around to the group.
Hermione bit her lip in frustration, "Don't do anything rash! What good is it going to do if is rush off trying to find her? You aren't on leave. If you floo out of here without permission you'll be kicked out of the Academy."
"What difference does it make? I'm probably going to be kicked out once our assessment results get back anyway," Harry said shortly.
Hermione rolled her eyes, "Seven years and you haven't learned a thing. Why don't you just apparate, at least you're less likely to be tracked that way. Although I'm not sure how you're planning to get back to the Academy since they don't give you that knowledge until your second year and you don't have a port key handy."
Harry was just about to argue with Hermione about her logic when the door to the dormitory opened and Master December O'Riley walked in with Mad-Eye Moody behind her.
"Potter, O'Riley….we need a word with the two of you," Moody barked as his magical eye did its normal scan of it's surroundings.
Harry swallowed hard. His mind told him that this probably had to do with the Malfoy assignment he had overheard December mentioning to Tonks. Although he had no idea details the assignment entailed.
Noel turned up her nose as Harry followed her out into the corridor and down the long winding stairs that led to the interrogation rooms in the dungeons of the Academy.
"So, I hear the two of you don't get along all that well," Moody said swiftly, his attempt to make conversation, "Well, I don't suppose that matters much. One of the Auror I trained with attempted to kill me. Constant Vigilance, you can never be too sure on who you can trust."
"Well I have a hard time trusting people who throw hexes at my back," Harry muttered acidly towards the back of Noel's dark head.
Moody let out a gruffly sounding laugh, "Well, apparently the feeling between the two of you aren't completely mutual."
Noel let out a disgusted sound as she felt Mad-Eye, eye examining her through the back of his head.
"This way….Now, the two of you haven't been informed of your first mission as Rank I Auror yet, so this might come as somewhat of a surprise," December started, "Because of either your former history, or talent you have been selected from your peers to take on a extremely important assignment. We normally don't let any one under a Rank 9 take on this type of responsibility, but I have faith that the two of you will perform exceptionally."
"I'll go get the whining little badger," Moody grumbled walking back into the apparent holding facilities.
"Harry, I trust you former school grudges will not cloud your judgment," December warned quietly as the two took a seat on the interrogation table.
Moments later Mad-Eye Moody returned with a face from Harry past. Draco Malfoy's eyes grew wide as his eyes met Harry's and the two scolded at one another.
"I trust you remember Harry, Malfoy," Moody said as forced Malfoy into a seat.
"This was never part of the agreement," Malfoy spat angrily as he looked up at Moody's scared face.
A smile fluttered across Mad-Eyes face, "You aren't in any situation to be barking out the terms of our agreement."
"Draco Malfoy, a part of the agreement of your pardon you were told you would be working with the Ministry of Magic's Depart of Justice and Law Enforcement. More specifically, the Auror department, Mr. Potter and Miss O'Riley are two of our top trainees and will be assisting with your assignement," December said as if she had never seen or spoken to Malfoy before in all her life.
"I bet you think this is a real riot don't you Potter? Watching me bring down my father and disgrace my name," Malfoy sneered, his lip curling more with each word.
"Watch your tongue Malfoy. Or I'll watch it for you," Noel said in a dangerous tone. Her eyes glanced at Harry's twisting face.
Harry cut his eyes over towards her then back at Malfoy, "If it were up to me, I'd leave you in Azkaban to rot away for the rest of your life."
"But it isn't up to you," December said firmly, flashing Harry a weary look. "Draco is staying with his supervisor, Alastor Moody."
"It isn't as fun as it sounds," Moody growled, "I think Malfoy here know that if he betrays his promise I'll personal curse him to death."
"BUT, Moody can't monitor all of Draco's assignments. You two will provide back up for Master Moody, Master Tonks and Master Smith who will conduct the primary responsibilities. We must protect our source at all cost. No harm can come to Malfoy while he is under the Ministry's control. He is our shot at recovering and capturing Lucius Malfoy."
Harry took a deep breath, "So what happens next?"

I have about another 1,000 words written, but I think it will flow better in the next chapter. This is the last Chapter that just focus on Harry and Cho…The other characters will soon get their spots in the limelight. I haven't really gotten a chance to grow the Ron/Hermione relationship. I'm still trying to define it in my own mind.
I got a review not long ago saying this story was turning into a soap opera….YIKES, it is.
I'm going to be focusing on the evils in the Wizarding world soon enough, right now I'm just allowing my characters to discover who they are and what they want with their lives.
I'll leave you with this small note of a preview…. "wonder what George Steppin is up to?"
UPDATE: 05-16-04 at the latest…more likely to be on Thursday but no promises just in case.
