Wilt Thou harass a driven leaf?-Job 13:25

I just took a theology class in Job last seamster and that was one of my favorite verse, not only because it was the title of one of the most amazing books I ever read "As a Driven Leaf" by Milton Steinberg. When I was reading that verse over, (I'm not religious, but the bible has pretty poetry) I thought of Zuko. A leaf, shaking in the wind, torn from the tree and left alone to be tossed about by the winds of fate. This poem was also written when I was really sad, because I would love an Iroh to offer me tea when I am sad. This poem is for my father, who I miss more then words can say. Guys, if I can offer you any advice, treat every day like it's your last. Tell your parents and loved ones just how much you care about them, make every moment count. You never know how quickly things can change. Zuko is really lucky to have Iroh around.

Things Unsaid

I know you aren't ready now

That your heart is still torn

How it breaks my heart to see you

Standing there alone and forlorn

I wish I could take you in my arms

And hide you from all your grief

Instead of watch the winds blow you

Aimless, like a driven leaf

You are too proud to accept help

My strong one, you keep fighting on

You wont ever admit to yourself

The life you long for is gone

But in the darkness of your slumber

You relax and begin to weep

Do you know I guard you every night

And kiss your forehead when you sleep?

I know the shame I'd bring to you

So blissful ignorance I feign

I'll never rob you of your armor

The walls you've built of pain

Just know I'll be there to catch you

When the moment is right

I'll be the one who will hold your hand

And lead you out of the night

I'll be the father you've always wanted

You've always been a son to me

I'll break the shackles binding you

I long to set you free

To light a smile upon your face

And gladden again your heart

Hand and hand we'd travel the world

And make a good fresh start
