Title Regina Amy Benson
Chapter 1 The Forgotten Memory
It was not until the moment that Rufus Scrimgeour had stormed, or rather stormingly limped away, till Harry noticed the woman by the lake. He could only see her back and her long mane of thick, dark auburn hair. At first, he thought it was Ginny, but something...something about the woman made Harry sure that she was older.
And then came the crazy, mad hope that forced him to trudge nearer and nearer to the woman. It's her, thought Harry. It has to be...
"Mom?" he choked on the word.
The woman turned and Harry looked straight into her eyes.
No, not Mom.
The woman was in her forties, like Harry's Mom would've been if she had lived.
Instantly, the woman's eyes ( there was no real name for the color of those eyes ) flicked to glance at Harry's scar before dropping to return his stare. She did not ask why he had called her Mom. Instead, she said quietly,
"Hello, Harry Potter. My name is Raisa Albuzita Bouldermed."
And Harry thought, R.A.B.
Raisa had reached into her black robes and pulled out a small glass vial. Inside swirled the silvery mix of memory.
"My grandfather took you on many visits to the Pensieve this past year, right?" Raisa whispered.
"Dumbledore's your -- what?" blurted Harry. No longer did he feel the strong sense of calm that sorrow had left behind.
"My grandfather," Raisa repeated and then touched his hand. "I need you to come with me, Harry. One of the memories you saw was carefully edited —,"
"By Slughorn!" Harry interrupted impatiently.
"No!" Raisa said and her voice was strangely loud. "There was another one that Dumbledore...modified."
She's the one who is really crazy, Harry thought desperately. Why would Dumbledore have anything to hide?
Raise held up the vial.
"This one," she said, her voice quiet again. "contains the memory of Tom Riddle's first meeting with Albus Dumbledore. It also contains another meeting at that time, one that Dumbledore chose to forget for lack of a better word."
Her voice sounded bitter.
"At eleven, the young Lord Voldermort met my mother, Dumbledore's daughter, and his future wife."
