Lost Fragment of the Past

Colette was checking up on everyone in their rooms. They've rented rooms in Flanoir.

"Colette, I have to go now. I have some unfinished business to take care of."

Where are you...

It has been a year since that day. Since the day he set off on his own quest to destroy the exspheres that remained in the world. He also had other plans of his own.

Colette wandered back into her own room. She took a chair and moved it over to the window. She stared out into the distance, losing herself in all of her thoughts.

"You'll come back to me, right?"

Colette started to think about how much she loved being in Flanoir. The calm atmosphere with all the snow always calmed her down. But now... it just seems different. The falling snow is no longer happy to her - the snow seems to be... sad.

I need you here with me...

Sheena happened to walk past Colette's room and noticed the angel staring off into the distance.

"Hey. What are you doing up so late?"

"Oh.. hello Sheena.. it's just..."

"Of course! I promise you, I will return!"

"Oh, come on. You know him. He isn't the type to break a promise. Especially a promise to you."

"I know... but..."

"Hey, just try not to think about it alright? He is probably just taking longer than expected - he hasn't forgotten. Now get some sleep, little angel." Sheena hugged her favorite small angel and they both said their good nights.

"Thanks Sheena..."

Colette sunk into her bed and covered herself with tons of blankets. Being a naturally warm person, Flanoir's snowy weather really froze her up.

You promised...

"The snow... they're like... drifting fragments of memory... they've seen a lot, because they come from the sky. As they fall down, they can see lots of things. I wonder how it would be if I was a snowflake..."

The little angel whimpered as the cold got to her even more. Even while covered in a mountain of blankets, she was still bitter cold.

She missed him. She missed the warmth of him. She missed his sheepish smile. She missed his heartwarming personality.

A tear began to form.

Please come back to me Lloyd... where are you... when I need you the most...? Did you forget about me...?

Am I just a snowflake to you...? Am I just a lost fragment of your memory...?

Colette shivered and let out a small squeak as the coldness bit her sensitive skin once more, and cried herself to sleep.
