This is a poem I wrote called "The Cornered" It bears the spirit of LOZ, and the characters are hidden behind names. I don't own LOZ (OoT for this poem)
And bonus points to whoever can
A) figure out who all the characters are
B) figure out everything that happens to "the cornered"
The Cornered
By Anthy Kilik and Anshi-chan
A sound within the confines of the dark
A panic, a need to escape
Dancing from moonlight
To shadow beneath
A flash of green in the nothingness
Another sound within the shadow
A horde, a need to capture
Charging restlessly
With not a care in the world
Red eyes following orders
A wall
A blocked escape
Turn and run
Maybe the end will be found
(Run…continue to run until your heart bursts...)
Closer and closer the red eyes come
Nowhere left to run away
A blade in the moonlight
The birth of the sword
The time to fight has been found
Kept at a distance, the red eyes are
They wait orders to continue on
Another sound,
A sound of fatigue
Maybe the time to end has come
A new figure
An evil man descends
Sword in hand
The final dance shall begin
(Can you survive…?)
The evil man speaks to the cornered
He speaks of a twisted failure
And of a twisted deal
The cornered responds with his sword
And they begin a twisted dance
The evil man laughs at the cornered
As a black glove reaches his throat
The cornered struggles
As his strength dies
The cornered goes limp, but he is not dead
A new setting
A cold, dark place
Chains in hand
The evil man returns
(The darkness is growing…)
The cornered is abused
Heavy whips lash at his skin
Chains break bones
There is blood
Then the evil man enters
The cornered is crying tears of blood
Glass is protruding from his back
His clothes are torn
His blood is everywhere
But he does not give in to the evil man
He will never cry tears
He will never give in
He will never…
He will never…
(Or…is it all a mask…?)
The cornered wakes in a new place
There are chains and whips and blades
The cornered cannot speak
His mouth is covered
But inside he is screaming
The evil man laughs again
And sees tears in ocean-blue eyes
Pain shoots up the back of the cornered
White spots flash before his eyes
Then his mind goes dark
He will never be the same
He will never be strong enough
He will never be good enough
He is drowning in the nothing inside of him
(You're broken…)
The cornered wakes once more
He cannot stand nor can he even crawl
The cornered is no longer captive
But the cornered does not feel free
Something has been stolen from him
There is another, a savior with knives
He rescues the cornered
He listens to the cries
He comforts the cornered
And the cornered survives
(All is black and cruel is fair…)
All the rest is darkness
