"Sear, I'm sorry, baby!" he begged. He watched his lover pace but couldn't stand to still the man. His knees were still weak from a mind-blowing orgasm. He tried to pull his jeans on but got the sheets caught and just flailed like a large fish on a beach.
"Fuck. You," Sirius' voice wasn't angry, totally calm in fact. He wasn't looking at James but beyond him to the younger man in the bed. "He was the one good thing I had and you couldn't bear me having anything."
"Sirius, you still have me. I'm so sorry. Please!" James was on the verge of tears as he watched his life falling apart in front of him.
"I wouldn't want you now," said Sirius coldly with a huff of laughter, "I don't share. See, I never had anything much to share so I never learned how to. You were the first good thing I had going for me. And I would never be willing to share you. You were either mine or not."
"Please," James started, "he-" the man stopped when he saw the look of pure fury filter onto Sirius' visage.
"If you're about to defend him you should stop, because I know you value your balls and if you finish that sentence I'll rip them off." He looked back to the younger man with an expression of pure disgust, "He's all yours now; we're through." Without another word he slammed out of the room and James heard the portrait hole slam shut down in the common room.
Saying nothing James stood and pulled on his trousers. "Well," said the younger man examining his burning cigarette, "Could have gone worse."
"Shut up, Regulus, and get the fuck out of my room." He slammed his way out of the room hoping to find Remus or Peter to talk to. Evans was reading a book on the couch. She smiled at him and he felt the immense urge to smile back, it was time to rebuild a life.
