When they reached the school they all climbed out and filed into the Great Hall together.They sat at the Gryffindor table with Lily, James, Sirius, and Kylie on one side and Viveca, Madison, Remus, and Peter on the other. They watched the sorting and saw Kylie's youngest cousins, Ashlyn and Melodie Moonstar get sorted into Gryffindor and Sirius's younger brother Regulus get sorted into Slytherin. Even though Ashlyn and Melodie are twins they aren't too much alike in looks or personality. Ashlyn is slim with straight light brown hair and bright green eyes while Melodie is slim with wavy strawberry-blonde hair and hazel eyes. After the sorting ended the feast began and they all talked while they ate.

"Hey, Sirius, remember when you threw those Dungbombs at Severus? That was hillarious." Peter exclaimed, chuckling.

Sirius rolled his eyes at James who grinned in agreement.

"Or that time when Lily hated your guts, James, and hexed you." Peter continued.

"Wormtail, shut up before we blow your bloody brains out." Sirius said menacingly.

Peter winced and just continued eating instead. Satisfied with the result Sirius slipped his arm around Kylie's waist tickling her side as he did making her elbow him lightly. James looked over at the Slytherin table meeting the glares of several Slytherins including Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa Black, Bellatrix Black, Severus Snape, Timothy Bollard, Lindsey Cabbor, Gary Temex, Cory Veslan, and Regulus Black. James nudged Sirius and motioned to them.Sirius looked at the Slytherins and glared at his brother and cousins.

"No wonder my parents hate me, I'm the only non-Slytherin." Sirius shrugged. "Then again me and Regulus never got along."

"Least your parents are still around, Padfoot. I only have my father." Remus said with a half-smile.

Madison looked over at Remus and smiled encouragingly. Remus met her gaze and smiled back. Soon after they had finished dessert Dumbledore dismissed them to their Common Rooms. They all walked together in one big group up to the seventh floor to the Fat Lady's portrait.

"Hello, dears, welcome back. Password?" The Fat Lady greeted them.

"Thank you, Madam. Devil's Snare." Lily said.

The Fat Lady smiled and opened the portrait hole, which closed behind them after they were all through. They all sat around into the wee hours of the night when Sirius passed out bottles of Three Broomsticks' Butterbeer. Everyone drank a bottle and soon were chatting about whatever popped into their heads. Madison sat with her legs curled under her, her left elbow bent and resting on the arm of the chair so that her head rested on it lightly. She was fully dressed in her Hogwarts uniform minus the robes. Her shoulder-length brown hair fell across her shoulders in a simple way along with a few strands slipping over her right eye. As she sat by the fire watching as the embers burning, sizzling, sparking, and sometimes cracking or popping she thought about Quidditch and the upcoming match against Slytherin. She wasn't worried really or at least that's what she told herself. Lily and Viveca sat next to her on the couch while Kylie and Sirius occupied a chair where they were constantly snogging, Peter had fallen asleep curled up on the floor and Remus was lying across the other couch away from the fire. James was the only one left standing, hovering near Lily.

"Evans, can I sit next to you?" James asked.

"Yes, James. I mean no!" Lily corrected herself quickly. Why did I say yes?

"What, don't you like me, Evans?" James whined slightly.

"Yes, I like you. In fact I love you, I think you're the best-looking guy in the school." Lily said. "Oh, no. I didn't say that!"

"Yes, you did." James grinned.

Madison laughed. "Lily finally admits to loving James." Madison shouted uncontrollably.

James stared at Madison, this was not the Madison they knew. James glanced over at Sirius.

"Padfoot." James called.

"Whayawant?" Sirius mumured against Kylie's lips.

"Did you put Veritaserum in the Butterbeer?" James questioned.

Sirius broke his kiss with Kylie and looked at James.

"Yes, I did. Fun trick, don't you think?" Sirius grinned.

"Looks like you took the one that was meant for me, right?" James shook his head.

Sirius nodded then continued his snogging with Kylie.

Madison stood up and moved over to sit next to Remus.

"How're you feeling, hot stuff?" She asked, grinning.

"Honestly, soo unbelievably awake yet so tired." Remus smiled.

This is how you can tell that normally non-flirtatious Madison Thornview had something in her making her act the way she was. Madison giggled a very un-Madison like giggle. Madison never giggled. She was a hard-core Quidditch Chaser and didn't bother with boys unless they were her friends but nothing more. Then again maybe this was the true Madison hidden beneath the one-track minded Madison. Madison just stared at Remus for a moment before bursting out in laughter and collapsing upon his chest. Viveca sleepily looked around the room at all the crazy acting people. Lily and James were snogging just as much as Sirius and Kylie, Peter had started looking even mousier than before, and Remus and Madison looked a little off. Professor McGonagall entered the room with a stormy face.

"What is going on in here?" She demanded.

"Oh, look the old witch has come." Madison said before she even realized what she had said. "I didn't mean that!"

"Yes, you did!" Remus shouted.

"Bloody hell, Remus, shut up!" Madison shouted back. "I'll hex you if you don't!"

"Why would you do that? You meant what you said, didn't you?" Remus pointed out.

"Yes! But I mean NO! Arg! Why can't I lie?" Madison shouted. "I really don't want to hex you Remus, but I will if I have to."

"What's with the hexxing? I'm an innocent victim of the truth." Remus said.

Pinning Remus down and whipping out her wand she pointed it at his throat. "I shall hex you Remus, you annoying fool!"

"Cut it out, Maddie!" Remus demanded.

"Fine. I won't hex you but I will do something else." Madison grinned then planted a kiss on Remus' lips. Wow, who knew Madison liked Remus?

Remus's eyes remained wide open during this kiss. His first kiss, who knew... Madison slowly stopped the kiss and smiled down at Remus since she was still on top of him.

Remus smiled goofily. "Whoa..." He said, dully, he was still somewhat dazed from the kiss.

Madison giggled. "You really are too cute, Remus." Madison brushed a lock of Remus' light brown hair back off of his forehead.

Remus, now out of his daze, grinned and pulled Madison back down to him, kissing her as she kissed him back.

"Oh, dear. James, Lily, Sirius, Kylie, Madison, and Remus stop what you are doing now!" Professor McGonagall shouted.

"I'm afraid, Professor, that Sirius has put Veritaserum into our Butterbeer, though with some adjustments." Viveca said.

"I'll be right back then with Professor Slughorn and Madam Pomfrey." McGonagall said and hurried out the portrait hole.
