Don't

"Don't"

The voice was trembling, but Draco stopped in his tracks, his eyes closing briefly in a sort of confused pain.

"Don't"

Much quieter. The voice was soft, scared and helpless. Yet, it was powerful enough to make Draco feel a guilt like no other.

"Don't"

A whisper, soft and sweet. Pleading and warm.

Draco turned around, his white-blonde hair attracting the glow of the moon, making it seem even more heavenly then it already was. His stormy grey eyes met glistening emerald ones and he took in a sharp breath, clenching his teeth and looking to the floor, not being able to stand that look any longer.

"I trusted you."

Trust. Something so meaningless, but yet it meant everything to him.

"I trusted you with the only thing that helps me survive. I trusted you with my heart."

The voice, silky yet broken. Draco paused, wondering why Harry trusted him of all people, with something as precious as his heart.

"I trusted you with my love. My weakness."

The voice was barely audible, but he heard it. Why, he wondered, feeling mournful. Why would you ever love me.

"You love me too."

The truth hurts, as they say. A searing pain ripped through Draco's heart and he sighed, running a hand through his silver hair.

The voice gained confidence. "Don't"

It was demanding. It hurts, thought Draco, clutching at his shirt. It hurts to leave you.

"Don't"

But I have to.

"Don't"

Understand. For me, Harry.

"Don't"

I don't deserve you.

"Don't!"

Draco's eyes blazed suddenly and he pulled his robe up harshly, his mark showing the pale moonlight. Harry looked at it, studied it. Draco had shown him his mark numerous times, yet it seemed he didn't understand the signifigance of the ugly, hideous thing.

"It means nothing."

The voice trembled again. It hurt to hear a voice so beautiful sound so distressed and troubled. It hurt even more to know he caused it.

"It means everything."

My voice is broken too.

Silence, for what seemed like hours. And then worn out trainers take a few hesitant steps towards the Slytherin, a look of complete, absolute need etched onto his delicate face.

"Don't"

It was pleading. Begging. Hopeful yet sorrowful at the same time.

And it was then that he knew he couldn't.

Never could he leave him.

Selfish, it may seem, to put such a perfect person like Harry in danger just so his heart would ache no more. But it wasn't selfish at all. Harry needed him too.

"Don't"

Walking towards him, and closing the distance between them, Draco pushed his lips against Harry's. With Desperate, needy movements they meshed together, finally finding peace within their souls. Tongues caressed one another as soft noises erupted from raspy throats. Velvet lips molded into one, as a tremor of deperation ran through both of them. At last, a soft hand found Draco's and he broke the kiss, gripping onto the tender fingers, kissing Harry's face over and over.

"I won't."

And the pale moonlight shone against Harry's features, accenting the smile that lingered on his delicate face.
