A/N: By popular demand, I decided to turn my one shot into an actual story. This will start at the beginning, even though you already know the end! The whole story is written in Jay's POV.

I walked into Degrassi in the beginning of my senior year, I was a changed man. I only wanted to end this year, to go on and live my life. I had driven up, music blaring out of my speakers only to get snapped at by Princess Paige.

"You know, some people might not want to listen to your music." She said in her snotty voice. "It's really annoying, it's not really music. It's just yelling." She snapped.

"Oh, well I'm sorry that it's not Justin Timberlake or someone like that, but I don't like to listen to guys with chick voices." I snapped back walking right past her into the school. I walked to the front office to get my schedule when I was greeted ever so happily by my ex, Alex.

"Hello scum." She said rudely popping her gum and grabbing her schedule.

"Hi Alex." I said as nicely as possible and searched for my schedule. I pulled it out and snapped it straight. "Simpson, Armstrong, Kwan, Davis? Who's Davis?" I asked the secretary.

"She's the new science teacher, since Ms. Hatzilakos is now the principal." The lady said softly in a nice way.

I sighed 'another teacher to hate me' I thought to myself as I walked to homeroom.

"Ok students, this year we're going to try for assigned seats." Mr. Simpson said as soon as I walked in his class. He walked around the classroom pointing at chairs and saying names. "Craig Manning, Paige Michalchuk, and last, Jay Hogart."

"Great." I muttered to myself as I sat down at the computer next to Paige. "This sucks."

"Don't worry Jay, you'll never come to class, so you'll never see me." She said in her princess voice.

"Actually, I'd like to graduate so I can get myself out of this shitty little town, so I'm going to try." I replied to her quite rudely.

I stood up and walked out of class at the end. 'I need a smoke.' I thought as I walked down the hall, hoping I could last until lunch time. I got to my next class and sat down in a random seat. The bell rang and Princess walked in late, and with my luck the only open seat was the one at my table.

"Great." She muttered as she sat down and took out a notebook and pen.

"Figures." I muttered, about her pen and her sitting next to me. The pen is a typical Paige pen, pink and fuzzy on top. Who in their right mind would think of inventing a fuzzy pen?

"Alright class, settle down. These seats are the seats you will have for the rest of the year." The new science teacher said.

"Shit." I said to myself.

"The person next to you is your partner. Your first assignment is to design a molecule." Ms. Davis said passing out papers. "Get started, I want to see a rough draft by the end of class."

"Great, well Princess, let's get started." I said to her opening my notebook.

"Listen, I don't want to be your partner, and you don't want to be mine. But we have to be, so let's just try to work together." She said to me opening up her pink notebook. She doodled a few things and showed it to me. "Good?" she asked me.

"Yeah, I guess. I wasn't expecting that, but I like it." I said looking over it. "It looks exactly like it's supposed to."

Ms. Davis came over and looked at our work. "This is really good, you're ready for the next step. You have to build this molecule." She said handing us another worksheet. "It helps to get together outside of school." She said as she walked over to another group.

"So, um…I guess we can work on it this weekend." She said as I glanced at the paper.

"No, we can't. It's due on Friday, we have to do it this week. We could meet at your house or something." I said in an angry voice.
