Lenin Cole carefully stuck a photograph of Chloe Sullivan that he had taken to his wall. He slowly spun around in his chair and silently congratulated himself. Now every single inch of all four walls in his small wooden cabin in the middle of nowhere was covered with photos that he had taken of Chloe Sullivan. He thought back to the first time he had met her, actually saw her because they never actually did meet. She was walking down the busy street in Metropolis and he had bumped into her. She said sorry to him and flashed him a polite smile. That smile did it for him. He was hooked on her. There was just something about her that was so beautiful and he had to know her. Of course he was painfully shy so he followed her to where she was going. It turned out that she was in Metropolis for an internship at the Daily Planet. After that he started following her and finding out everything he could about her. Every chance he got he would leave her some type of present or token of his affection. She was the most beautiful creature that he had ever seen. He had been closely watching her for over six months planning for the perfect time he could take her.
Clark Kent effortlessly stacked wooden logs in a giant pyramid. Despite his super hearing he failed to hear Chloe walk into the barn behind him.
"I've said it a hundred times and I'll say it again, you can take the boy out of the farm but you can't take the farm out of the boy."
Clark smiled sweetly at her comment and carefully put down an armful of logs. As he walked over to her he noticed a red rose sticking out of her coat pocket.
"Where did you get this?" He asked picking the rose up.
"From my bedroom."
"What?"
"It was the weirdest thing but when I came home last night I found it on my bed. I don't know who it was from."
As Clark looked at the rose he got a funny feeling in his gut but quickly shook it off. He took the rose and gently slid it behind Chloe'sear causing her to blush.
"Well I better get going. I'll see you later." Chloe said leaving the barn as quickly as possible.
Lenin watched this whole scene through a pair of binoculars off in the distance. He looked at Clark with horribly cold eyes as he went back to work. He could sense that Chloe liked this guy and he couldn't have somebody in his way.
