AN: Thanks very much Katana Blade (I actually appreciate long reviews! Thanks for all yours! I'm really touched... and have no idea what to say besides THANKS! I have a habit of writing paragraphs when I reveiw, as well. Welcome to the club of long reviews and thanks for your reviews. All of them! Lol and don't worry most of the time I can't remember the titles of my own poems) Crystal (Okay, I won't doubt what you said, but you're still an awesome writer as well... I need to read the rest of your other fanficthe Harry Potter one) I'm really sorry if I missed anyone.
This is a rather short poem.It sorta goes along with my other poem titled 'Different'.
The Color of Our Skin
A man who is blind is more accepting
Than a man who can see all
For he who cannot see can't tell whether
A person is short or tall
If all were blind it wouldn't matter
The color of our skin
Does it have to take that much
To end prejudice, our sin?
What I cannot understand is
Why our skin does matter
We're all equal in God's eyes
And I prefer the latter
For if God made me different
In that darker skin-toned way
Why should I be treated worse
Every moment of the day?
