One-Shot about Gohan and Videl's feelings for each other.
Gohan and Vegeta are dead…Videl awoke in a cold sweat as she had been doing for many days now. As soon as she fell asleep, she was on the Lookout with Goku and all the other alive Z fighters.
Majin Buu destroyed them both…
And even though she knew that Gohan was alive and well in his cozy home with his mother, father, and cute little brother, she couldn't deny to herself that this dream still sent her into the depths of despair. She could still feel the sorrow and the fear in the bottom of her stomach, when it was believed that Gohan was dead. Then the hope, she had felt him, she could not describe it, but she had felt him, living, in her heart.
She had realized then, that she loved him. Oh, she had known it in the back if her mind for a while, but now she recognized it. She wanted to have a chance to be with him before he died. She did not want him to leave. Not at all.
Of course, she knew she was ridiculous. Videl Satan. Daughter of Hercule Satan, the lying bastard. The tomboy martial arts fighter. Known for never having a boyfriend in all her 18 years. Falling in love with Son Gohan.
Of course, noone knew yet. How could they? Videl had only just admitted it to herself…
Gohan stared up at the starry night sky. He couldn't sleep. He was feeling rather strange, and he didn't know why. It was as if, as if he longed to be with someone, to not sleep alone. Oh he had Goten, but that wasn't what he wanted. He didn't want to be alone. He wanted something. Something that he couldn't quite put his finger on, but he knew it has something to do with the gnawing feeling growing in his heart. The little voice in his head that told him to do things when he was with…when he was with Videl.
Oh, Videl was diferent all right. Somehow that human girl had clawed her way into all his secrets, even his best kept ones. She knew about the Saiyans. She knew about Super Saiyans. She knew about Garlic Jr, Raditz, Nappa, Vegeta, Frieza, Androids, Red Ribbon Army, Trunks, and she knew about Cell. She knew he was diferent. But she didn't care. She was beautiful, charming, friendly, in one word: Videl. It was her he wanted on this cold, starry night. It was her he wanted to be with, here, tonight. He smiles at his decision, and took off into the sky.
Videl opened her large window, took out the screen, and comtemplated going for a short fly around the city. That should calm her down and help her go to sleep. But she contented herself with just looking out the window. Staring out at the dark inky black sky, she saw a small dark figure appearing at the edge of her vision. She smiled. She knew. She just knew.
Gohan stopped as soon as he could see Videl staring out at him from her third floor window. He flew in gently, and Videl closed the door behind him. She didn't have to ask why he was here, as he explained himself pretty well by envelloping her in an intimate embrace, ending with a kiss.
'I love you' she thought, pulling him deeper.
"Videl," he spoke, I love you as well,"
They spent the night like that, just lying there, in each other's arms, nothing more. But the next morning, when Chichi realized that Gohan hadn't spent the night at home, and when Goku clarified that yes, Gohan's ki was with Videl's, she wasn't mad. Not in the least. On the contrary, she grinned. Chichi has a one track mind, and the only train passing through it was the train of grandchildren. She stood and looked up at the clouds as a ripple of excitement passed through her.
"GRANDCHILDREN!" she yelled at the innocent looking clouds passing above her.
