Summary: Ever pondered the meanings of the color 'blue'? Oriya+Muraki hint
Warnings: Natta.
"Did you ever wonder why blue was always associated with sadness?" The man stated blandly sitting by the open portal of the warm little room, allowing the other occupant to briefly step into the mind's musings.
Cold eyes glanced up with inquiry at the speaker, "Who has the time to wonder over such meaningless things?"
"Is it because of the saying 'You're feeling 'blue' that you mean 'you're feeling sad'?" The other man said pointedly, obviously avoiding the stone words thrown at his feet, placing the long steamed pipe back between his teeth.
"I would assume so."
"Are you sad, then? If you so much as harbor any blue to your person? Does that make you a sad person?" He continued on, sucking in a wif of the smoke before releasing it into the night air, eyes glassing over.
"Its just a color."
"Its Blue. The sky is Blue. Is the sky sad too?"
"… Stop thinking about pointless things."
Blue eyes met Blue.
Then a pause, long enough for the other occupant to return to what was originally occupying his mind, before the speaker spoke again, "But its not pointless if you think over it. If you are 'blue' then that would mean you're sad. But why did they choose 'blue' as the color to represent sadness. There is more meaning to it than just that. What do you think?"
"I think you are wasting my valuable time."
"Are you Blue, Muraki?"
A definite pause.
"It is irrelevant if I am or not."
A snort later, "So you're just a sad, sad man."
"This is a pointless conversation, Oriya," was the cold reply.
"Hmm… but that's all that life is. Pointless conversations."
Owari…
