Silver's Tax
Proportionate
Slender figured model
Of flaccid chalky arched foot
An architect's seamless image
Of a caterpillar skeleton
Comatose
From twine's chloroform death
A dreary slate scratch mandible
Of sanguinary graphite lace
Blended by immaculate rubber
Purloined Innocence
Of red-lined cherry lips
Maw of Satanic vision
Spawned upon sketchpad parchment
A Sheol bound righteous essence
Turncoat Disciple
Suspended within a tainted Field of Blood
Insipid stencil sketched hands
Folded as in sorrowful yearning
Of imperceptible treacherous atonement
Cocooned Replica
Webbed within nimble pencil touch
Pupil pits of desolation
Bare serenity of archaic poise
Lacking graceful precision between lines
Metaphorical Masterpiece
Awaiting averse metamorphosis
Heaving charcoal silhouette of temperance
Before biddable grey streaked hail
Chattel to a devilish maestro's apparition
Of Smeared
Butterfly Kissed Perfection
AN: Criticism wanted and expected. Darker theme than usual, I know. But I find that my style of poetry is beginning to change and I want to know if it is for the better. In case there is a question on what exactly Lucifer is drawing, think of a dark and apparently "triumphant" Biblical moment.
