"Almost Omniscience"

by: ilikesaddleshoes

Roronoa Zoro had to admit that he wasn't very surprised when he became a pirate. Well, sure, he was surprised when a doofy looking guy with a straw hat popped over the walls of the Marine base one day and began making conversation with him where he was lashed to a pole, but…who wouldn't be surprised by that? Once he introduced himself however…Zoro had more or less flipped the switch in his mind from part-time bounty hunter, to pirate.

And, sure, when that same kid had stretched his arm beyond normal human limits…well, sure he was a little taken unawares.

But.

Sometimes, Zoro liked to read. When he wasn't sleeping, training, or eating that is.

And a few years back he happened to pick up a series called "The Rainbow Mist." There were ten books in all, and as surprised as is was, he wasn't stupid enough to think that there was more than one Roronoa Zoro (former) pirate hunter with green hair who wore a bandana and fought with three swords out in the world somewhere.

So.

So, when the scared-shitless Marines, backed by their psycho Captain started up a ruckus with the easy going kid with a straw hat who acted just a touch bipolar…well, sure…he was surprised…

But not, you know…surprised….

Omniscience: n. the state of being omniscient; having infinite knowledge.
