Ghost of You

Summary: Before he left Sarmatia, Tristan had a wife who was killed by Romans. Her name was Shyanna, or Shya. They had a daughter named Serenity. Now as he lies dying he thinks about them.

I own nothing except Shyanna and Serenity. Though Tristan is chained in my closet and Lancelot is on my bed.

Tristan knew he could not forget his wife ever. She died at the hands of the Romans, so did his daughter. Shyanna had tried to stop them from taking her husband and they killed her. His daughter had come to say goodbye and also did the same and they killed her too.

Tristan knew he would die soon and he knew even as he lay dying he could not forget her. She would have waited for him if she were still alive.

Then he thought of his family back home, he would not return to them. He knew they already thought he was dead. Their smiles though when he got home would never comfort him. Nothing they could say could ease the pain.

Tristan now remembered what happened after the Romans killed the two people he cared about. He jumped from his horse and as Shya lay dying he held her in his arms. He whispered to her that one day he would come. Then she died. He moved over to his daughter who had already died. For the first time in his whole life, Tristan cried.

He knew that the pain he was about to suffer was nothing compared to the pain he had already experienced. The final blow was delivered. A sharp pain shot through his entire body. Then he saw them; Shya and Serenity were waiting for him. He would finally be at peace.

At his burial the last thing Galahad said

And all the ghosts the are never gonna catch me,

If I fall down.

They all knew the one who had caught them when they fell had left hell and entered heaven.
