Pansy's Secret Mission
Pansy's hand lazily stroked the silky blonde hair in her lap with drooping eyes. Their position was a familiar one which had started shortly after attending the Yule Ball together. She sighed softly, watching Draco take in deep breaths.
"It's harder than I first thought it would be," he admitted, his voice laced with defeat. "I don't know if I can do it."
Her hand froze where it was.
"Of course you can," she whispered harshly, shifting on the sofa.
His head lifted from her lap, and he studied her with his usual calculating look. "You're one to talk," he scoffed. "You haven't even been approached by Him like I have. You don't have this," he hissed, motioning vaguely to his arm.
"Don't be silly," Pansy snapped. "The only reason you have that is because He's trying to teach your father a lesson."
"And what kind of lesson would that be," Draco uttered in a deep, hoarse warning manner. "Please, do tell me."
"We all know you won't be able to do it. That's precisely why you're sitting here, whining to me about how it's 'too challenging' for your poor little mind!" she ground out with a rebellious look in her eyes. "So He's enlisted your help for an excuse to kill you when you undoubtedly fail. A rather strong message to send to his most loyal follower, who's sitting, untouchable, in jail. Don't you agree?" Pansy asked in a sickly sweet voice.
His grey eyes darkened in anger and narrowed into thin slits. "Oh, I can do it!" he growled dangerously. "You stupid bint, I'll show you!"
Pansy watched him storm out of the Common Room, and her expression softened. Her head dropped guiltily, and she looked to her right, where Blaise was hiding in the shadows of the fire.
"He's so mad at me," she moaned pitifully, hiding her face in her manicured hands. "I hope he realizes why I did it…"
Blaise cocked his head, a malicious smile crossing his handsome features. "The only thing that matters is that you have good news to report to Him now, Pansy. Malfoy will forgive you in time. For now, he needs to focus on his assignment."
A/N: Remember that scene where Myrtle mentions how he has no one to talk to, or something to that effect? Well if she meant it quite literally, then this is my little take on how he would not have anyone to talk to about it. Any spacing problems are really not me, I swear it!
