There's a tune by Bach
Running through her head
There's a half moon clock
Frozen by the bed
It just needs a spring or two
There's a knot in time
That she can't undo
Still she knows she hasn't lost you
Yuna stared out from the top of the airship into the cold blue night. Sometimes she even felt the wetness as stray bits of cloud hit her face. Even now, as she ran the scene of Tidus disappearing, and she remembered as he faded her inability to say anything through the sadness of what might have been. After the night where he had kissed her in the water, she had had fantasies of living. Living with him. She even had dreams of instead of her wedding day with Seymour, Tidus was the one standing at the altar. Also that on her face instead of that depressed look she had worn on the real wedding, in her mind with Tidus she was wearing a smile. She knew that the thoughts were stupid now, and she felt a little foolish about them now. Did he really love her? If he hadn't disappeared, at this moment, would they still feel the same way about each other, two years after defeating Sin? Even now that she was on some sort of track with her life, often in her mind she was still running around in circles, fighting a hopeless battle.
There's a telephone
From the Hotel Pontchartrain
There's a piece of bone
On a fourteen karat chain
From a boy that she once knew
And her mother's eyes
Which she wears like new
Still she knows that she hasn't lost you
She fiddled with the chain around her neck. She felt a cold wetness running down her cheek, not knowing whether it was the cloud or a tear. The idea of Tidus not loving her was hard to think about. Especially when she still felt sore, and it had been two years. She had taken so many steps trying not to fall in love with anyone, but as she walked up the stairs to the Zanarkand Temple, she realized that she had fallen in love with her Guardians, Tidus, and even the people of Spira. She guessed that she just hadn't tried hard enough.
Still she knows...
Still she knows...
Still she knows...
She saw a huge black cloud looming closer and closer. She knew that she should probably get inside, otherwise she would end up being soaking wet. Plus no one inside knew she was out here. If she fell off the Gullwing, no one would know about it.
Like a work of art
That she did not plan
Like the human heart
Beating in her hand
Such a dazzling shade of blue
There's a life she lived
That she can't undo
She got up, and wiped her face clean. Her face wasn't wet because of clouds; it was too salty for that. She walked towards the entrance back inside, but stopping for a second to stare down at a sphere in her hand. Something inside her told her that he loved her. Because, still she knew...
Still she knows that she hasn't lost you
The song is called 'Still she knows' by a band called Dave's True Story.
