Seventh Year: The Marauders' Memoirs

I don't own anything you recognize from the Harry Potter series.

By Moony

I got this idea while ago. When me and Padfoot started our little Crapbook, with drawings, notes and stuff like that. And then I was like, what if the Marauders had one? And I had to write this. –Moony

Chapter 1

"Jamesie, do you realize it's seventh year?" Sirius said, as they sat in the compartment on the train, waiting for Remus and Peter.

"Wow, Sirius learned how to count!" a voice said, as the compartment door slid open to reveal a smiling, tall dirty blonde haired boy.

"It's Moony!" James said, looking up. "How's your summer been?"

"Wonderful. Save for my furry little problem."

"Well now, the furry little problem should become fun, now that school's started," said another voice from behind Remus.

"And it's Wormtail," Sirius said nodding.

The two of them settled into the compartment and pushed their trunks up on the rack.

"Aren't you a Head Boy?" Remus asked James.

"Ye-es."

"Shouldn't you be patrolling corridors or something?"

"Only prefects do that. Head boys and girls just tell prefects what to do. And in this case, I already told them to patrol corridors."

"I still don't know how anyone in their right mind would make Jamesie a prefect," Peter said, laughing.

"I don't either. But I'm head with Evans, so it's not that bad."

"As I was saying – it's seventh year," Sirius said loudly.

"So…?" James asked.

"So… it's the last year of our mischief making career at Hogwarts!"

"Which means – we gotta fulfill every single prank that we've always wanted to do here – THIS YEAR!" James said.

"Yes! But I have a good idea!"

"Whoa! Sirius learned how to count and has a good idea!" Remus said sarcastically.

"Shut up Moony!" Sirius said. "We ought to keep a record of our mischief making this year."

"What, like a diary?" James asked.

"No! Like, pictures, and notes and stuff like that! And then, we'll bury it in the Shrieking Shack!" Sirius said indignantly.

"That sounds like a scrapbook," Peter said.

"Nah – we can call it a cool name. Er… help me Moony," Sirius said.

Remus thought for a moment then said,

"How about… memoirs?"

"That sounds cool. The Marauders' Memoirs… I like it!" James nodded.

"I think we should put 'seventh year' somewhere in there," Peter said. "As it is seventh year."

"Ok, Seventh Year: The Marauder's Memoirs," Sirius said, grabbing a piece of parchment and scribbling it across the top. "I think we should all make a list of things we want to do before we leave Hogwarts, then do it all!"

"How much things?" Peter asked.

"At least fifty! Ok, so each person should have jobs. Remus can be the picture taker!"

"You mean photographer."

"Yeah, yeah whatever. And Jamesie can be… designer!"

"What?"

"It means you arrange where the photos and words and notes and stuff goes."

"Oh. Got it."

"And I get to be the writer person!" Sirius said.

"What about me?" Peter asked.

"You're the Organizer. You organize what activities we do first. So, bring your lists to breakfast tomorrow."

"This is going to be fun!" James said excitedly.

"Mischief every day!" Peter said.

"Detentions every day," Remus said. "Awful."

"Aww Moony! Lighten up. We never get caught!"

Remus rolled his eyes. But what the heck, it was seventh year. A last year to do everything…

I know, I know. Too much dialogue. I'm working on it!
