We've Admitted

"I am nothing like my brother."
"You're right little Narumi."
I look at Rio.
"You're nothing like you're brother. You're not as smart at him and he's far superior to you in every way."
She looks at me.
"That is what you want to hear isn't it little Narumi?"
I turn away from her.
"I won't disappear like he did."
She nods.
"Remember what I told you that day that I put the bomb around your neck?"
I nod and repeat what she had said.
"Believe in yourself because I believe in you."
"I meant every word."
One side of my mouth turns up in a half smile.
It wasn't the same as it is now thought because now we've admitted something to each other.
"I will find the mystery of the blade children and I will find out why you want me dead."
She looks at me questioningly. Then she looks over her shoulder and sees Eyes coming toward us. She nods and gives my hand a quick squeeze.
I turn to walk away.
We've admitted that we don't hate each other.
I walk to where Hiyonowaits. I take her hand and walk away. I turn to take a quick look behind me and see Rio talking to Eyes but then she turns my way and she smiles. I nod in return and continue walking.
"Say Ayumu."
"What?"
"Are we still going to that movie?"
I nod. We'd been planning the movie for a few weeks, or rather Hiyono had.
We've admitted that we like each other but that will remain a secret, as will our meetings.
