Summary: A little discreet R/T one-shot.

It was quiet time at 12 Grimmald place, a chance for the Order to relax before they left for their respective homes.

Like every night, it seemed like the only one who wanted or enjoyed the peaceful quiet was Remus. They sat in the study; he in a dark green armchair with clawed feet, the others ranged out around the room. Sirius sat in the corner, glaring out the window, mad that they would leave him once again. Tonks and Kingsly played wizard chess directly across from him, laughing loudly. Mad-Eye talked to Arthur in whispers, puncuated every so often with grand gestures.

Remus returned his gaze back to the book held tightly in front of him. He raised it ever so slightly, blocking the chess players from view. She was shocking pink again, her hair a beacon in the dark room. It seemed absurd almost, that it could be such a cheery color after the meeting they had just endured. Most of the members who had attended, such as Snape and Dumbledore, had left immediately after. Too drained to speak, too exhausted to relax.

But in other ways, it was nice. Her pink hair showed them that some things stay the same, even though he was certain she would change the color within the hour. It represented an upside, an optimistic view.

Without meaning to, he smiled. It was then he realized, that although he had been staring at the page for minutes, he had not read a single word. Shaking his head at his foolishness, he renewed his attempt to read.

By the time everyone decided to leave, Remus had worked his way through the remainder of his book, though the smile had never left his face.
