Kim sat on her bed staring at the walls. She never meant to hurt Bobby. But she did. She could tell by the look in his eyes earlier tonight when she told him that she only loved him as a friend. But that wasn't true. She loved him as so much more than a friend. She just didn't deserve him. She wasn't a good person. She always hurt the people that she cared about the most. She tried so hard not to. But she couldn't help it. Whenever anyone got to close she'd push them away. She was scared to let anyone in. She was afraid to let anyone see the real her. She worried that if anyone knew her, really knew her, they would run. Just like Jimmy had done. She though that he had loved her. They were getting married and having a baby, so she thought it would be okay to let him see the real her. Then she caught him sleeping with her sister.
She really did love Bobby. She was just scared that if she showed him who she really was, that he would leave just like Jimmy did. She wouldn't be able to go through that again. So, she hurt Bobby. She lied to him and pushed him away. But it was best for the both of them. He wouldn't be able to leave her and she wouldn't be able to hurt him anymore than she had. She just wished that she could be with him. But Bobby deserved someone who could open up to him and show him who they really were. Not someone that will get him frustrated enough till he left. Which would happen if they got together. She didn't want to put Bobby through that and she didn't want to go through it either. It would just cause too much pain and confusion. She didn't see why Bobby loved her or wanted to be with her. There were so many other women he could be with. So many that were better than her and could give Bobby what he deserved. He deserved someone like him. Someone honest and caring. She wasn't either of those things. She slept with her best friend and told her that she only loved him as a friend and only wanted a friendship.
But that wasn't true. She wanted more than a friendship with him. She wanted to be with him. She wanted him to see the real her. She wanted to be like him. So confident and secure. But that would never happen. She just hated that she had to lie to Bobby and hurt him. She couldn't help but remember how hurt he looked before he walked away. She knew that he had walked away because he couldn't stand to look at her anymore. She couldn't blame him though. She couldn't blame him if he didn't want to be friends with her anymore. Kim was brought out of her thoughts by someone knocking on her door. She wondered who would be coming over this late. She got up and answered it. She was surprised to see Bobby standing there, but also happy. She had to tell him the truth about how she really felt. Kim opened the door more and let Bobby in. They both sat down on the couch.
"Bobby, I'm sorry about earlier tonight. I never meant to hurt you. I do love you and I do want to be with you. I just got scared. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you all of this earlier," Kim said. She looked at Bobby. She could tell that he was thinking about something. She couldn't help but wonder why he was here.
"I want to be with you to. There is no one else out there for me. You're he only one," Bobby replied. He was happy that Kim wanted to be with him. He's wanted this since he first met her. He leaned over and kissed her softly. He knew that things will be great between them.
The End
