Disclaimer: Artemis Fowl doesn't belong to me. Fortunately. )

Fic dedicated to my dear Jessica, whom I am still unsuccessfully trying to addict to slash/yaoi.
It was all over.
Holly felt a strange sense of longing fill her as she placed Artemis back onto his bed for the final time. She had never knew that this brat of a boy could look so cute when he slept, but his long lashes and soft hair framing his face made him look like the child he would have been, if the burdens of the Fowls' family problems had not released its weight on those small shoulders.
"Consider him wiped off our future records" was what Foaly had said in his complacent because-I'm-foaly-the-centaur voice as he shut down the mind wiping device. Holly gritted her teeth. She was supposed to feel happy about this boy disappearing from her life forever. The irritating stinkworm of a boy who had kidnapped her, outsmarted her, and made her feel like taking up the electronic stinkworm swatter and wacking him until he finally stopped buzzing.
Then what is this weird feeling pounding in her chest?
Suddenly, Holly had a wild thought of rushing down underground, grabbing the memory discs from Foaly and rushing back again to return all the memories that were taken away from Artemis.
But no, she couldn't. She was an elite LEP officer, who was expected to have full control over her actions at all times. (According to the LEP rule book in Root's study.)
She could hardly bring herself to leave the room, but she swallowed the temptation to stay and turned towards the door.
Just then, Artemis stirred in his sleep. He murmured something under his breath and turned to his side. Holly knew that his dreams will no longer have any trace of the existence of the fairies.
Nor will his dreams have any trace of her. How she despised this thought.
She stepped lightly onto the side of the bed and planted a final kiss on his forehead. Then, tearing herself away, she revved up her wings, flew through the door and into the darkness.
This is my first fic that does not contain yaoi or slash. And I feel kinda weird writing these type of fics... . So I guess this will be my first and last.
