Title: Late Night Movies

Author: Cameron1

Rating: K

Summary: The thingswe say when we're drunk…

A/N: Don't expect anything great. This is one of those stories you write late at night when you have nothing better to do. The intention was to be funny, I failed miserably.

"Your money will be in an account in the Cayman Islands."

There was a snort.

"What?"

"Nothing"

"You'll have to wait one hour before the money is released"

A giggle.

"Would you shut up!" Rodney was not impressed.

More giggling.

Elizabeth sighed and mumbled something about everyone being silent.

Seven figures lay around haphazardly in the Rec Room.

There was a rustling sound as John shifted in his seat.

"Something the matter?" He slurred.

"It's nothing." Said Elizabeth. She turned back to watch the ridiculous action movie.

"You sure?" She looked uncomfortable

"Why can't anyone let me dose off in dignity?" She said empathetically.

John laughed. "Because, then they'd have to listen to you snore."

Elizabeth elbowed him in the ribs.

"Yeah, well, this was supposed to be relaxing…"

"Hey, I can't account for Teyla having a weird sense of humor… Ow!"

"I do not have a weird sense of humor, John." Teyla settled back in her seat with an amused smile on her face.

"You giggle at all the wrong moments. Doesn't that account for 'weird'?"

"Shut up, both of you, you'll miss the best part!"

Elizabeth shook her head wondering how Rodney could possibly like this movie.

"I don't get it." Radek Zelenka tilted his head sideways at the screen.

"Weren't you listening? He just said there was an hour before the account opened-"

"Yes, I know that." Radek waved his hand at Rodney "But why is it funny?" He looked confusedly at Teyla who just grinned.

Ford looked around shaking his head. "I think you're all insane." Everyone started laughing at him.

"What?"

"Oh dear" said Elizabeth, tears of mirth running down her face "I think we've all had too much to drink."

"I second that notion!" Carson, sprawled on the floor, raised his bottle in a form of salute.

That set everybody off again.

When the hysteria had subsided, Aiden raised his beer.

"To us! The people that saved the planet!"

"Which planet?" said Rodney.

"All the planets in the galaxy!"

There was a thud.

Radek had fallen onto the floor and was now mumbling hysterically in Russian.

Carson looked sideways at the scientist lying on the floor next to him.

"What ya sayin' man?"

Radek just shook his head laughing softly, still mumbling.

"Do you know what he's saying?" Elizabeth looked at Rodney.

Rodney shook his head.

"Not a clue."

Sheppard took a deep swig of his beer, put his feet up on the coffee table and spread his arms wide.

"I saved the Galaxy!" he yelled triumphantly.

"Oh you did not." said Rodney.

"Yes I did!" Said John indignantly "Me and…" He gestured to Elizabeth "Super Liz!"

Radek started laughing loudly. Elizabeth groaned.

"Super Liz?" Ford asked incredulously.

"What? It works."

"It does actually." Said Carson thoughtfully. "You are a sort of super hero." He said looking at Elizabeth.

"Super hero?" Teyla looked confused.

"Remind me to explain that to you when I'm not drunk" Said Sheppard "or hung over." He added as an afterthought.

"Right."

Elizabeth groaned again.

"What?" Asked Rodney.

"Nothing… just thinking…"

"About what." Said John, leaning in.

"Paperwork."

There was a collective groan.

"Paperwork? At a time like this!" Ford looked scandalized.

"Yeah, c'mon. We're supposed to be celebrating!" Said John

"and relaxing." Added Teyla.

"and relaxing." Said John nodding.

"My god! The Paperwork!" Radek yelled unexpectedly. That earned him strange looks from everyone else.

"What is wrong with him?" asked Teyla

"It's the alcohol." Said Rodney glumly.

"Aye," said Carson "One two many brain cells."

"Maybe we should all go to the Cayman islands." Said Ford.

There was a snort.

A giggle.

Rodney was not impressed.
