Hanging Around
Summary: Jack gets hung up on an Alien Planet in a very bad situation.

A/N: Like I said this story has no real point but it demanded to be written.
Colonel O'Neill was suspended spread eagle in front of the stargate, right in the path of an opening wormhole. He was chained by his wrists and ankles to two poles imbedded in the ground. As the first chevron locked Jack began to panic. The rest of SG-1 picked that time to show up.
"Jack!" Shouted Daniel as they raced to their CO.
"A little help here guys!" Replied Jack as the second chevron locked.
"We got to get him down," Said Carter as they raced to the Colonel's side.
"Ya think!" The third chevron locked.
I can't get the chains off!" Shouted Daniel.
"Teal'c, shoot the poles!" Ordered Carter.
"Carter!" Jack shouted his composer beginning to falter as Teal'c opened fire.
The fifth locked as SG-1 continued to fire on the poles.
"Give us a minute, Colonel!"
"I don't think I have a minute!"
The sixth locked as the poles shattered.
Well it's been fun!"
The poles fell as the seventh chevron locked. They fell backward taking the colonel with them as the wormhole activated. The wormhole passed right over Jack; taking the bill of his hat clean off before it retracted.
"Colonel?"
"For crying out loud that was my favorite hat. Shit!"
"I'll buy you a new one Jack," Replied Daniel as a MALP rolled through the gate.
Jack would have waved if he wasn't still chained to the poles.
"Carter," Said Jack through clenched teeth.
"Sir."
"I got a problem here!"
"Welcome back SG-1," Said General Hammond as SG-1 walked out of the gate and down the ramp. "What happened?"
"Oh, we were just hanging around," Replied Jack.
