Summary: "Winnie Foster, I will love you until the day that I die!"
Disclaimer: I do not own Winnie or Jesse, nor any of the Tuck or Foster families. I don't own the book or the movie, and I don't own Treegap. If I owned anything like that, would I really be writing fan fiction?
A/N We had out intranet connection cut off at my mom's house, so I'll only be updating at certain times of the week from now on, and I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
The last chapter was mostly copied from the book and movie to get my story sort of started. Here on in is writing the way I do it. However, because it just felt so right, I shortened this chapter, and made most of it into chapter three.
I dunno where this came from, but I really like the way it started turning out when I wrote it. Tell me what you think, really realistically, because if it sucks, I'll take it down. Just please, give me the truth. If you just don't like me, don't even bother to review it.
Please keep in mind that parts of this story have been taken as excerpts from the Tuck Everlasting Movie and Book. Only bits and pieces that suited the plot were borrowed.
Also, why did everybody take so long to review? I know there's school and all, but it's not like it takes up every second. Please explain?

Chapter 2 – A Tale In The Making

From the table next to Jesse came a flood of giggles, and he glanced over nonchalantly, resulting in yet another eruption. He knew that even if he turned his head slightly, they'd burst out again, and so he finished his cup of coffee, and stood, leaving a tip on the diner table.
Climbing onto his motorbike, Jesse tossed his hair from his eyes, and set his helmet over his eyes. He revved the engine and started off down the street to the bank; It was nearing dark and he needed money for a place to sleep.
Treegap's bank was small in comparison to other buildings, with a blue tiled roof, and whitewashed walls and pillars out front. Inside the walls were marble, and shone softly in the light that came from hanging lights.
He stepped into one of the shorter lines, and when he got to the desk, he was greeted with a soft "Hello."
The girl in front of him had curly blond hair, and soft gray eyes. The pale green uniform for all the workers had a small white name tag pinned to it, that red, 'Hi, my name is Marjolaine' in swooping black handwriting."Welcome to the Treegap community bank," she droned, as though the sentence had worn itself down over time. "How may I help you?"
"I'd like to make a with-drawl," Jesse began, reaching for his bank card.
"Sir, the bank machines are at the front of the lobby."
"I'm not – I'm not a technology person."
With a sigh, she reached out a hand, as though waiting for something. Yet he stared at her hand with a monotone expression on his face, visibly unsure of what to do.
"Your card!" she asked loudly, looking up at him for the first time, then freezing. Her hand dropped to her side, and she turned her head, eyes not leaving him. "Kim, come over here. I need you to take over for me for a minute."
A short redhead scurried over, and had barely arrived when the blond girl pulled him away to the side, staring at him with an odd combination of awe and wonder written all over her face. "I'm Marjolaine," she began, pointing to the name plate.
Her fingers left the white plastic, reaching instead for a pen and paper, and scribbling something down in a hurry. Her eyes glanced up once, settling on the redhead that was failing miserably for covering for her, and then she folded the sheet into a small square and tucked it into the pocket of his shirt.
"Remember my name, Marjolaine." Then, much to Jesse's amazement, she began to walk away, turning back to whisper, "And you're Jesse Tuck."

A/N : I'm so shocked. I expected only three and instead I got thirteen! Woohoo reviewers. Congratulations to my first reviewer, AnaJ152, you get a free date with Jesse! Not to mention, I got 145 hits on the first chapter alone.
AnaJ152: You really think I got promise? Indulge me – please.

kory: i kept on writing, now I'm just wondering, why don't you sign up for then you can have author's alerts, which is when you get an e-mail when there's a new chapter.
harmsway: you're right, I hope. If I start getting way too off track or crazy with it, will you tell me?
