Summary- In the final battle, three years after Hogwarts, Hermione is hit by a dark curse meant to trap her in eternal slumber. Her business is taken over by her former secretary who makes a few changes not exactly for the better. Ginny Weasley, now an auror and human rights activist, attempts to shut down the now corrupted business, but ends up getting just a bit sidetracked by a certain sleeping brunette along the way. Excuse the lame and slightly vague summary. I'm not exactly exceptional at them.
A/N- Well, I like this particular story idea very much. I have high hopes for it. I've already written some of the first chapter and everything. Plus I know where I'm going with the plot. I don't know exactly how I'm going to get there (I'm debating between a few different ideas), but that doesn't really matter. I quite like the prologue. Hopefully this thing'll be the first fanfic I finish.
Disclaimer- I'm not J.K. Rowling (what a surprise!) so therefore I don't own Harry Potter. However, I do own Linda Bucket (that's boo-KAY, for all you Keeping Up Appearance (which I also don't own) fans), Jonathan Knight, and any other character I choose to make up along the way.

Prologue.
"What do you mean a 'lost cause!'" the youngest male Weasley roared.
Linda, the slim blonde nurse in charge of Hermione Granger, sighed. When she had volunteered to care for the young brunette she had pictured something quite different from the scene unfolding now. Her fantasies had been filled with newspaper articles praising her for helping the national heroine recover. She would have been famous! Everyone would have known her name: Linda Bucket, savior of our savior (or at least one of his best friends). And, best of all, her cold-hearted mother would have finally been proud to call her daughter.
Instead, the Granger girl had proved incurable. For the first few weeks after the final battle against He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, the wizarding world was hopeful. Hermione Granger was a strong, stubborn girl who would never a little curse affect her too badly. But now, two months later, she had shown no signs of progress. So here Linda was, trying to explain to a pair of hot-tempered Weasleys that their friend simply was not going to improve.
"Look, Mr. Weasley, Miss. Weasley, I know Hermione was very dear to you-"
"Is! She's not dead!"
"-But she hasn't spoken once since the final battle, we can't get her to eat… Please try and be realistic. There's nothing more we can do."
"But-"
"Ronald, that's enough," Ginny said to her brother quietly, sounding very tiered. "You heard the woman. She's as good as gone." For a moment the small redhead gazed wistfully at Hermione, who was lying motionless on a cot, but then she shook her head and said flatly to Linda "Thank you for your time. Come on Ron. Let's go."
"If you'd like we can transfer her to her house. Since we can't do anything for her here it might be better. We have limited space and-"
"Contact her secretary, Jonathan Knight. She left her organization to him should anything happen to her. And since obviously she's-" Ginny's voice cracked. "Contact Jonathan. He'll see to her transfer and the managing of her affairs."
"Jonathan Knight… Oh, that lovely man? He stops by at least once a week asking after her. I'm sure he'll take wonderful care of her. Such a nice man…" Linda smiled reassuringly at Ginny and Ron, but they were already walking out the door.
